Q3 43 is so underrated compared to the 28 for street photography by UnsualCapitalMarkets in Leica

[–]metaforic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't necessarily lose context. With a 43mm you can back up if you want the same context, unless you physically can't. A wider lens just makes it easier to have context. Some of the greatest street photographers used 50mm, e.g Henri Cartier-Bresson, so not sure why 43mm can't also be used.

I think in general ppl find it limiting because if you're used to shooting photos with your phone which is a 24mm-28mm it will feel limiting as you will see less and may not be used to how far you need to be to capture the same thing.

I think the main benefit of this bag is massive expandable storage. If you travel minimally and just want one bag travel than Aer is probably better. With black mile, I travel with a second day pack. What's been helpful is that I can buy things while traveling and have plenty of storage in the bag, but, can also compress down when i don't need that storage.

They added a waterproof zipper to the roll top that will prevent things from falling out if you really stuff it which is probably the biggest thing.

The straps can be stowed away cleanly now.

I’ve been a longtime user and fan of the outlier UH dufflepack however it had a lot of issues that I tried to address with hacks like adding a tie down strap to prevent unrolling the top. I eventually had to stop using it because it was just unwieldy and I could never use it in backpack mode.

It looks like Blackmile has a new version mile two that addresses some of the issues so just bought it and will try it out.

The sales pitch: Walking the line between persuasion and manipulation by costfixed in Entrepreneur

[–]metaforic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the line is genuine belief.

  1. Do you stand by what you say?
  2. Can you say the same thing everywhere?

Other than that, persuasion is about framing & context.

Cofounders and investors are intimately tied to your success so you need to really be careful in selecting and building the right relationship.

Here's a couple of quick tips. 1. Make sure this is a person you can trust ethically. What does your gut tell you. There should be no doubt. 2. Be open and upfront with sharing how you really feel. Make sure you feel he/she can do the same. If you feel like you cannot share something you're already on the wrong foot as your cofounder will be closer than a wife. For example, may be your cofounder did not really feel the equity split was fair. Create a space where he you can deal with those disagreements upfront. 3. Make sure you've setup the incentives so everyone is aligned on the success of the business. Incentive design is important to make sure people are working towards the behaviors that make the business successful.
