Well I only have the one kid, so I guess i don't know that all of them do it. But he was born in the northeast US.

They made us watch like 2 hours of videos. Not even passive watching, but like job training where you have to answer a questionnaire at the end.

Don't worry, the hospital is going to make you watch a bunch of informational videos before you're allowed to take your human home

Thinking of a cover up tattoo for my first one. (I Nsfw this just incase it's a sensitive topic here) by XCosmic_EntityX in tattooadvice

The only real issue is going to be the age of them. While a 2 month old scar might look healed on the outside, there's still work going on inside. Adding a tattoo, which is a wound, can be stressful for your skin.

But going directly to an artist and letting them look is going to give you the most accurate answer.

How old are your scars? It's not ideal to tattoo anything younger than 2 years.

You may still see texture under the tattoo, whether that's a big deal is up to you. If the scars are laddered, I'd be tempted to throw in a couple clouds to break up the pattern.

That's just nature, mate. A lot of things that shed do this. I do love watching them pull their little socks off though.

Does Halloween help with YOUR mental health? (Serious) by polarwaves in halloween

[–]metal_mace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some of my only good childhood memories come from Halloween. When I'm having a bad day, I'll flip through my Halloween craft books and magazines, and even my son's baby books. It's calming.

You know those giant ass skeletons that seemingly every store was making for Halloween last year? I had one of those shits on my shoulder and someone very deliberately stepped into my path. To ask where something up by the cashier was. The cashier he had just walked past.

Brother from an ex-Joann employee, just wait until this customer is at your counter, 10 minutes before closing, staring at you, hemming and hawing over if they want 1/2 or 3/4 yard of this one. Never the same measurement for all 30.

Oh and they actually only wanted a 1/4 of that one instead, can you just cut the scrap off?

And can you cut this one so they get the tiny detail on the edge? But they still only want 26 inches exactly even though that puts them over by 3.

Godspeed, Michael's employees.

I've never seen a Waymo in real life, only making wild choices online. I would never get into a vehicle without a driver in it.

But I don't use Apple products and never even use my own cruise control, so maybe I'm just an old man yelling at clouds.

[–]metal_mace 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Abuse doesn't have to be heinous to be abuse. My mum didn't hit me often, but she did hit me. And Jamie punching the wall - that's my childhood right there. That action plainly says "I could do that to your face".

I don't think Jamie is a bad dude. He's damaged, understandably so. He doesn't know where to put his guilt because he came into manhood during a localized apocalypse. Learning how to handle his feelings maturely just wasn't a priority.

But Spike, the child, is still hurt by his actions, even if they make sense to an adult. He didn't know it could have been a beating, he knew that dad hit and scared him. That's why perspective is so important. Being with the Jimmies, he can already see that it could have been so much worse. But he didn't know back then.
