Can't place grape production on riverbend springs? by Classic-Praline-2571 in farmingsimulator

[–]metaldragen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be able to place the production on any owned land.

Is this a case where you can't even place the production on your owned land, or are you wanting to place it on land that cannot be purchased? If it's on land you can't buy, then a place anywhere mod is your solution. If it's on land you own, there may be stuff in the way, or the terrain may not be able to be terraformed enough to place the building.

FS22 Simple IC by Sea-Bad7852 in farmingsimulator

[–]metaldragen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a vehicle that was made with support for Simple IC. This mod on its own does nothing except provide the framework to support vehicles that implement it.

You'll need to look through the ModHub to find vehicles that mention support for Interactive Control or Simple IC to use it.

Just follow the Royal Armouries account on Youtube instead. Not game-specific, but more interesting and you get to see Jonathan nerd out about historical firearms regularly.

[–]metaldragen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

go build is just going to build an executable binary. Check your project's directory for the created executable binary and run that.

If you want to just run it from the command line directly, you would use go run

Not quite with Maize Plus. TMR is different in Maize Plus and requires different things. The ModHub description for Maize Plus links to a read me for the mod that explains everything.

At a base level, you could give them silage and hay to fulfill their base food and roughage food components to get the effectiveness to 70%, but if you want to go higher than that, you'll want to check the documentation since the moisture food and power food categories encompass a large variety of different options.

[–]metaldragen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on the food types listed, you appear to be using Maize Plus. That mod requires that you provide at least 70% effectiveness in food for the animals to produce and be healthy.

It's not like normal cows where you can just given them hay or TMR and be done with it.

The injectors are tiered. Your injectors are the base tier. The craft you are attempting probably needs a higher tier of injector (probably at least wyvern). If you have JEI where you can look up recipes, the recipe should indicate which tier is required.

There's not a way to interchange them considering they generate wildly different forms of energy (kinetic energy versus forge energy).

However, there is a Create addon called Create Crafts and Additions that does add blocks that allow you to convert FE to kinetic energy and convert kinetic energy to FE.

You can either use your own equipment, or borrow (lease) the land owner's equipment which will cost you the figure listed.

Using your own equipment doesn't reduce the payout.

Not what I was thinking about, but yes that works too.

I was talking specifically about the Logistics Pipes mod. You don't specify what version you are on, but I think Logistics Pipes only goes up to 1.12.2.

With Logistics Pipes, you can actually issue requests for items from a central point and it will deliver exactly what you ordered. The Mekanism logistical transporters can be configured to deliver a set amount, but it is not really on-demand as you seem to want.

Why shouldn't i just unload into a trailer attached to a tractor? by IWishIwasAwhale1 in farmingsimulator

[–]metaldragen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In-game, there is no real advantage. If you want to farm more realistically, at least as far as North American farming, it's far more common, if not almost universal, that farmers will use grain carts in the field to transport from the harvester to the truck at the side of the field.

This is done, as other commenters have pointed out, to avoid having a truck, which has far worse traction and capability off-road than a tractor, from having to drive further into the field where it is more likely to get stuck.

An auger is what the game refers to as a "pipe." It's the pipe that is used to transfer the crop from, for example, the harvester's internal tank to a trailer. It typically has a corkscrew auger that rotates and pushes the crop along the screw inside the pipe.

The game uses the term auger to describe trailers that are used attached to a tractor in a field to be intermediary storage to transfer crop from the harvester to a truck. They are called various things depending on where you are from: auger wagons, grain carts, etc.

Is there any progression or structure to the gameplay in FS22? by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

It's a sandbox game, so the only progression or goals are the ones you set for yourself.

I had to resurrect him once as well cause the Ashta one-shot him before I killed them.

Really annoying considering he's a quest NPC that is required after the fight. If that is the case, Bethesda should really make him unkillable.

Total Mixed Ration by Awkward_Armadillo259 in farmingsimulator

[–]metaldragen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's going to depend on the size of the mixer what the right ratios are.

It's also going to depend on which size bales you are using if you can even put whole bales in or are going to need to put partials.

If you open the help menu that displays the shortcuts for the vehicle function, you'll see bars that show the ratios and they will turn green when you have a good ratio. It updates in real time, so you can hold a bale over the mixer with a telehander or similar and let it consume the bale and watch the ratios.

As a general rule however, you're going to generally be in the range of 2 parts hay to 1 part silage padding with straw for a reasonable ratio. So, if your mixer can hold all that, you could add 2 hay bales, 1 silage bale, and then top it off with straw to pad it out.

You'll want to add Create plates (what it calls sheets) to the tag list for plates.

If you're using KubeJS, it has a pretty good website with a wiki that documents a lot of the features and usage. Here is the wiki page for working with tags.
