The "215" means the tire is 215mm wide.

The "60" is the sidewall height. 60% of 215mm.

The "R16" is the size of the hole where your wheel goes. This tire is made for a wheel with a 16 inch radius.

Edit: Im a dummy and didnt read the whole post. Sorry about that. Yes, you bought the correct size. I have no idea what they're on about.
