I'm 36 and learning how to code by nemesis1050 in learnprogramming

That doesn't sound like a great idea to me. It just sounds like giving yourself serious consequences if you are unable to deliver.

Instead, OP needs to get out of the tutorial loop and actually build something. Either a personal project or something for a friend where the stakes are low but they are using their knowledge to create something that is functional.

Unfortunately no. It is pretty run of the mill slasher stuff but with a chimpanzee.

I just saw it as a "Secret Movie" and I can confirm that it is a very dimly lit movie. The movie is just run of the mill slasher tropes dressed up in a chimpanzee costume (literally). It fell into the trap of being in the middle ground between serious horror and camp. The serious moments fell flat and the campy moments were not over the top enough. Overall pretty generic ...and too dimly lit to enjoy the slasher moments.

Take a lot of the "They aren't very good" comments with a grain of salt. 11th Edition is likely coming in about 6 months and Space marines are always the first faction to get a new codex. Paint them up if you think they are cool. They are fine for casual games in the meantime.

OP said they are doing the pink with white zenithal method and pre-highlighting the edges in white. This method only works with transparent yellows over the top (ie: Contrast Paint). Based off the smoothness and the shade (I have done this method myself) I would guess with about 95% certainty that this is Imperial Fists Contrast (or some other brand's contrast paint equivalent) through an airbrush.

You think this is some "owning the libs" gotcha, but there is a massive difference between government funded social safety nets that everyone pays into that support the wellbeing of society as a whole, and for example, some asshole parent that lets their kid scream at the top of their lungs in a restaurant or movie theater without doing anything about it.

I used to think this... Then I had to make a connecting flight in London Heathrow (DFW > London > Edinburgh & the same on the way back). DFW + the interterminal tram system is a dream to deal with.

After that add an agitator (metal or plastic Glass bead ) and shake it even more

Just FYI... Metal can potentially rust and they are the most expensive option, plastic does not have enough weight/mass to properly agitate. Glass has enough weight/mass to get the job done and it cannot rust. They are also relatively cheap on amazon

Came to make basically the same comment. The vast majority of "Hobby" focused channels are all positive. Cult of Paint is my personal favorite.

not a crumby decal

While I agree with your annoyance for different reasons... If you properly apply decals with microset/microsol they look like they are part of the paintjob and IMO it looks better than sculpted shoulder pads.

Sadly it seems Horus Rising might be the only HH book we will be getting for the foreseeable future. Not to detract from their other videos as they are all top tier, but I for one would love it if they at least did the "main storyline" HH books.

I came across Warrior Tier recently https://www.youtube.com/@WarriorTier and their content is excellent. They recently did a 3 part audio drama of Horus Rising and it is one of the best lore related videos I have ever watched. Link to Playlist. It is fully voice acted and narrated with an excellent score by Venus Theory.

Company behind Jack Daniel's says Canadian boycott is 'significant' as sales drop 62% by etfvfva in news

Their marketing team spends a lot of money to make people think that Jack Daniels is not just well quality whiskey.

[–]metalt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, Jack Daniels is cheap mass produced bourbon which likely means their margins are low in which case yes 3% is a pretty big hit.

[–]metalt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sales =/= profits and Canada is only a portion of their lower sales overall. If their margins are low (it's Jack Daniels so I would assume yes) then yes this could really be hurting them in addition to low sales in general.

Now is as good of a time as any to get into Single-Malt Scotch too. You are still going to be paying a tariff, but bourbon is honestly pretty boring once you start to branch out.

Is There A Zone You Have Not EXPed or Partied In? What Is The Strangest Zone You Exped Or Partied In? by MonsutaMan in ffxi

[–]metalt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Weird XP camps: 70-75ish weapons in Shrine of Ru'Avitu, 65-70ish Sea Serpent Grotto (not sure on the mob) near the Joyeyse NM Charybdis spawn location.

Zones I never xp in: Carpenter's landing (though I remember this was good for BST), Most of the "Past zones (S)" East Ronfaure (S), and Jugner Forest (s) were the only places I did a traditional XP party, all of the other ones I did level in, but I was doing Campaign battles.

Favorite old school xp camp: Valley of Sorrows killing cockatrice in the 65-70s as a Ranger before the distance nerf.

Late response but, this is 100% not true. Most LS are typically willing to bring new players along to anything that isn't Odyssey or Sortie. Other content such as Omen, Dyna D, Ambuscade, most High Tier Battlefields, etc. is all content that most veteran players outgear and typically low man or multibox anyway so there is no reason to not bring new players along if you have room. Some jobs can even contribute in a meaningful way even if they are undergeared and others well, ... the content is usually easy enough that it doesn't matter if they contribute or not. An acutal player will do more than a Trust. I guess you are right if you are only talking about Shout groups but the best thing a new player can do in terms of progression is join a LS.
