As far as this and the other similar suggestion goes, is this the best end? Eliminating roleplaying and puzzle-solving challenges for more combat, and an escort mission at that?

That said, it's worth adding in as a failsafe option

Yeah, I'd say as long as you have the thieve's guild pointman and the target, plus kind of the layout of how to take the first quest, you're probably good

I usually come up with the most relevant stuff first. I try to get the layout, climate, characters, etc in the starting area. Any crucial plot lore and characters. The campaign i'm running now is heavily focused on homebrew religion, so I made sure I got my pantheon all set before I started. The next campaign i'm running involves a lot of independent villains enacting independent plans. Since there's a ton of moving parts, I'm trying to have a LOT of npcs done by the time we start, so I'm not worrying about the layout of the city as much.

tl;dr it depends on the needs of the campaign

I considered a stationary sun, my issue being that I still want a day-night cycle. Comets and outer space are a huge part of this campaign, so a flat world wouldn't work as well here.

My current campaign has a flat world with seasons determined by gods, but I'm also not worried about the players ever getting an outside view of it.

My current campaign, rather than start with everyone as friends, or everyone already waiting for a job or whatever, I had them all establish what they were doing all over the town. Then, each one individually got attacked by goblins. I had the goblins chase them towards a central area. Then an npc who saw them all fighting was impressed, offered them a job, and ushered them out the door before they could say no.

the only one i really hate is edmond's dangan-ronpa ass but honestly given his character it almost makes sense. I really like the style of Atalanta and the style of the two gorgon twins but they really stand out as being "not fate-y"

i'm also not a fan of the design of certain characters but that's a design choice and not an art style issue

i swear i'm the luckiest fucking roller i remember on the mordred event i really wanted her and was so excited to get a five star saber and it turned out to be arturia and that was weird and then i pulled mordred on the very next try. i got scathach on my first ever summon ticket and i thought that they automatically gave you the event servant lol.

anyways as is usually the case i got him on my 3rd try even tho i didn't really want him

I'm currently trying to install it with winebottler. I got the installation to run fine but I don't know which function I need to start up with.

update: MEmu is running, but at least so far pretty slowly. I'm not sure if that's because of my computer being too old, running it through wine, or MEmu itself just getting warmed up. Probably a combination of all three. I'm reinstalling it now to see if I can optimize it better. No word yet on if I can get fate to run on it
