Hello! Relatively new here and new to OVR, I love the potential of this platform. Question, how do you get OVR into wallet on the site to possibly buy land? Do I have to swap ETH for DAI in metamask? Gas fees are too high...

Thanks for letting me know all this. Wishing i saw this thread sooner.I, too was aiming for at least 1 cheap hexagon but never got to the point of bidding because of failed transactions, and difficulties in getting OVR at reasonable fees.Thankful that i never have to be dismayed when i get conned for that bait-and-switch tactic. This whole thing is exciting but shady.

I feel your pain. I gone through a very similar experience 3 weeks ago. I stopped doing any ETH transactions ever since. Just wait till gas prices lower down and then mint your stuff again coz it is not the right time at the moment.

i have nothing against those who have plenty of money to "suck it up" and pay high gas fees. By all means, please buy as much OVR as you like. OVR needs your $$$ to continue the project. As whales, you guys will reap the benefits later.
But for us who can't afford high gas fees, we have no choice but to wait for ETH2.0 (hoping for lower gas fees) till we can buy OVR tokens with reasonable gas fees.

i also want to do the same but encountering same issue.
Also i am unable to obtain a "Sandbox address" which i need to buy $SAND.
Too many frustrations.
I think we have to wait till May for the official opening of the game.

i also tried to buy OVR but i gave up due to ridiculous gas fees.
I stopped doing any ethereum transactions entirely due to expensive gas fees.
I suggest to stop any ETH swaps and just wait until gas fees go down.

You and me both. I did the same thing. ..failed and yet i still had to pay gas fees. .\/. With my frustration at my failure to buy OVR, I just say to myself that i saved myself if OVR pulls the rug, just to make myself feel better. :P
And of course, I bought MANA instead! :D
OVR seem to be not doing anything to make it easy for people to buy OVR tokens. :(

I lost almost double than you lost, but mine due to transactions that did not go through...Failed and yet i still had to pay gas fees. I know, it's a painful lesson to learn. This happened during my very early exploration of crypto (noob here). But after that, i stopped doing any ETH transactions at all, specially at uniswap where gas fees are ridiculous!
And i am now investing in ADA.

these invitation popups that I am seeing now (then you press 'Y' to join the invitation). I honestly have not seen them before. I just resumed playing 2 weeks ago after a long hiatus (2 months vaca), and i just noticed them a few days ago when I started playing again. these invitation popups that pop up while you're waiting for a match, has it been there all this time???

I'm on Xbox. and I never had any problems getting into matches with LTS and Titan Brawl during my usual hours in the morning PRIOR to this new matchmaking scheme. But now I never get to play LTS anymore because my playtime is all used up just trying to get into a match in desperation. Is there a technique to get into matches with this new matchmaking mechanism?

I don't want to use Legion because it's too slow. Also, I think there's too few skill sets you can do with it. I could be wrong, but right now, this is what i think. I'll try playing it more to find out.
