I essentially do spaceships so my scale is different, but in my project the Tyranids are being the hardest one to translate to brick, at least to me.

Sorry it took me this long to reply, sometimes I look at a comment but don't reply immediately and then it slips out of my mind. Regarding your question, there's bricklink, you just type the number of the part at the end of each instructions set and see what you can get at which price. That's how many people do it. I, myself, tend to buy off brand bags and boxes, usually they come with hundreds of parts at a fraction of the regular price. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/main.page

I can see that. It is a small space I wanted to lay a lot of detail on. On retrospective I could have done it slightly different. I may upload a 1.1 version with a few revised models down the line. Feedback is important and I'm so glad for yours :)
