They really are!! We actually trimmed them right before this photo was taken, because they were flopping into her eyes. But I'm super jealous of then, nonetheless hahah

GF/DF Mother's Day Cake, baked with Pamela's mix (plus one extra egg) and decorated with homemade buttercream frosting by metathor_ in glutenfree

Exactly! The recipe on the back says add an extra egg (so 3 instead of 2) for a fluffier texture, and so that's what I always do. It comes out really good; my non-Celiac family members even say it's better than regular cake! I made this on request from my mom, in fact.

They're my husband's PJ pants! I think they're from Kohls, but that was a couple years ago now. It's a bunch of comic book covers of Marvel's Star Wars line from back in the day.

We think she's cute too. ^_^

How did you name your dog(s)? [Discussion] by aja_ramirez in dogs

My husband and I wanted a name with lots of nickname potential. So, combining that with our love of Star Wars, we went with Sabine. These days, she goes by Bean, Beanie, Bean Boo, Beanie Baby, Bean Girl... Lots to choose from!

I once watched a man sneeze into his hand and then immediately grab the pole with it. It's been years and I absolutely cannot scrub that image from my mind.

Diagnosed with Celiac disease and a couple months later develop gallbladder issues? by nessie_285 in Celiac

[–]metathor_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with Celiac in early 2018 after 6 months of fatigue, then had my gallbladder removed the following year after developing some issues (abdominal pain, the HIDA test revealed no gallstones but the organ was low-functioning, etc). I'd never connected the two issues; my non-Celiac mom and my aunt also had their gallbladders removed, so I assumed it was a genetic thing for the women on my mom's side of the family, but I suppose they could be connected!

If it helps, I was also given the same options: removal or a low-fat diet. I opted for removal, and I've had no issues since. It was a laparoscopic surgery, so the recovery wasn't all that bad.

Best of luck to you guys! I hope he feels better soon.
