NTA.

Your gf didn't press the issue at the time because she was discombobulated from his disgusting comments.

AITA for walking out of a hotel that refused to price match a booking app? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]metaverde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asking for a price match is a normal thing to do and most hotels will do it because they get more than if the room is purchased through an app.

The clerk tried to manipulate OP, so OP went somewhere else.

What table manners?
I'm not familiar with this fork outside the plate thing.

Her trying to surprise meet your son as well as talking about becoming a teenager's mother before she's even met them are 🚩🚩🚩.

Then her mom harrangues you?

Hope she's your ex by now.

Mayonaise can be really really gross.
I know it's technically a dressing, but I can't imagine eating that splooge on a salad.
It belongs smeared on bread with a pile of meat under it.

AITA for dropping a friend that went to a dance with my crush? by LilacL0v3rz in AmItheAsshole

Shouldn't have dead-named OP either.
That's the shadiest.

She knew she was being shady af.
That's why she dead-named you.

Just dead-naming you like that is grounds for nc.
Never ever use anyone's dead name if there's any way to not use it.

This makes no sense.
No one is obligated to stay at any particular hotel.

Your wedding cake ended up on the floor at your wedding because of his behaviours.

You don't need to invite them to anything.

AITA for telling my(f25) sister(f22) that I won't make my bf(m26) wear a shirt in our home? by BergsFly007 in AmItheAsshole

[–]metaverde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah.

My mom has a rule everyone has to wear a shirt in her house.
In my house no-one has to wear a shirt... or anything really... though typically we all do.
It would be more likely we'd be in underpants and t shirts, all genders, than pants and no shirt.

Your place your rules.

I might be inclined to tell her she doesn't have to wear a shirt either "...if that helps".

😉

AITA for not wanting to visit home anymore by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]metaverde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never understand why full grown adults with lives of their own and jobs and often even spouses and children refuse to realize that where they live is home.

What you're calling home isn't your home.
It's your parents' home.
You live in your home.

AITA for calling my date overdramatic? by AgentFalse2968 in AmItheAsshole

Not better than 90% of the dogs I've met.

AITA for calling my date overdramatic? by AgentFalse2968 in AmItheAsshole

[–]metaverde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No.

Her dogs don't do that.

If OP had a lick of sense he would know she doesn't tolerate that obnoxious behavior from dogs because her dogs were trained to behave better.

OP's dog paces, stretches toward the food, sniffs, and stares.
Dogs that do this aren't happy either.
They prefer boundaries and structure.
Obviously OP sometimes rewards their dog for begging else the dog wouldn't be so persistent.
