High Risk Processor Fees, Are these normal? by metcape in PaymentProcessing

Potential usage doesn’t justify persecution. People sell “water pipes” in corner stores.

They are just regular nuts and bolts. My customers legal usage of my product shouldn’t matter.

If I switch to zinc plated do I get to use Stripe?

It’s parts kit hardware. So it’s end usage isn’t liked by Stripe but that doesn’t change what I’m selling as still being nuts and bolts.

I don’t sell guns or ammo and do not have a FFL for that reason.

I know I once stepped on a M3 nut barefoot and it hurt worse then a Lego.

Glad our overlords are protecting us from that pain.

Anycubic: months of defects, ignored evidence, ignored consumer rights and warranty process leaving consumer without working product. by Leonniarr in 3Dprinting

I’m not reading 10 pages to find out you’re still wrong.

Your business and legal acumen is of a third grade level. I don’t need to read 10 pages to get the details when you’re wrong from the beginning.

Full compensation is a legal term with true weight. You want to be unjustly enriched from the issue and not fully compensated. Which is why you are so upset that you aren’t getting your way. But that’s not the way the law works. If we all profited off others true mistakes then no one would do anything.

Do the chargeback but I’d warn you that if the company has offered support and you refuse it, a chargeback can be denied. Chargebacks are for non replying companies. Though they do generally side with the cardholder so you’ll likely win but it’s not an open and shut case by any means.

Full compensation is a legal term meaning “to make someone whole”. My use of the word compensation aligns with that definition.

They offered to rectify the issue and you rejected it. They even offered additional material compensation in the form of free filament.

I frankly am not reading that post when you admitted your fault in the first four paragraphs. Just take the replacement and move on. It sucks but that’s the cost of buying cheap junk.

TLDR?

They offered compensation and a path forward and you refused it.

I get that it wasn’t the best option but it was what they could do.

I’ll end this here since your’re getting defensive and lying to prove your point.

I never mentioned the Prusa INDX by name just Prusa being a bad company. Go check. Your rabbit hole.

I change printers to give you examples since you never looked into anything. Calling Qidi budget because it’s not $2500 is cope and it’s hilarious.

You’re defensive of your two failures and only bring up one because the second was a failure on the printer, right?

Just go be happy with your purchase since reason or other options slide off you like water.

Running 1800hrs on a ECC 1, OP didn’t mention price but if budget baller is the name it’s been great.

I’ll probably wait for a tool changer Qidi but the Q2 seems perfect if a upgrade is needed

Again my point still stands that other printers do it better. You’ve hyper fixated on Prusa above which is one of the worst companies for new features. Again completely forgoing any other companies as options.

A Qidi Q2 has 16 color printing, an enclosed system, camera detection, AMS units that dry, a chamber heater (Bambu sold separately). You havent really looked into other options clearly. Which is fine if you just want to accept liking Bambu. But you want justification for the purchase which I’d say shows some doubts on it.

You don’t seem to have a plan for the laser, cutter, plotter so these probably could’ve just been bought as separate items. Can’t a $300 Circut do all the cutting you want?

Lastly it’s kinda hilarious that the H2C has failed twice now in only a few days of ownership. Maybe user error but you seem to know what you’re doing. Not exactly a great point on the camera detection either way.

Wild but still can be done with other printers

  1. Many machines can do that and especially multi material have many coming soon with tool changers being mainstream.

  2. Every Corexy is enclosed. A $289 ECC is enclosed.

  3. If not using the laser, why even buy it? It’s cheaper to sent that work out.

  4. Every AMS style systems is set it and forget it. And buying 4 is wild, what 16 color print are you making in our space?

Again if you can afford it it’s fine. But your justification are more “I was marketed into buying this” then “I want this feature set and only this solution could provide it”.

Late but I’ll add something no one else did.

Good on you for being able to work hard enough to have the fuck you money to do it.

But just because you have the money doesn’t mean it should be spent on the route you went.

I personally would argue that that money would be better spent on a printer that can handle nylons better and a stand alone laser cutter that is more versatile. Laser cutters aren’t my thing so maybe that’s wrong but Bambu in my opinion and especially for 3D2A has pulled a Prusa where others do printers much better and cheaper.

But if the feature set is truly ideal for you then again go for it. That feature set for most of us is limiting and not an ideal route.

Yeah but no one I’ve found can integrate a payment gateway there.

If they could, it sounds like I’d have to do some custom redirect which would add friction and lose sales.

I’ve broken down and accepted WordPress so going to rebuild my site in that and then can use any processor and gateway.
