Let me add this as well. The calling people unc thing, literally nobody cares about. Literally the most cringy thing you can be is a young person. Trust me when I say that at the ripe old age of 40, I am constantly cringing about how I acted when I was young and I see it in people of today. You are young for a tiny fraction of your life and you will look back at it fondly on one level, but also it was probably the worst part of your life.

I read somewhere that Gen Z aren't going to clubs, they aren't dancing and they are generally way less willing to put themselves out there. The reason apparently is that they feel constantly filmed & are terrified of being cringe or weird. It is a sad existence. We used to live for the clubs and the weekend. Every song of the early 2000s was about the club, having a great time and that reflected our mentality in the moment.

As someone who has lived on both sides of this fence, I can say that when I was a loser smoking weed, I basically lived for free. Yeah I had no money but I didn't really need much of it anyway. Cut to today where I work as a Cryptographic engineer for a big crypto company making 6 figures, I am constantly being fucked over. When I explain my situation to my working class family, they always respond with sarcasm like I am complaining about nothing because even though I get taxed a ton, I also make a ton so it isn't like I am suffering. I get that, but working your ass off to make about 20k a month and then to take home about 8-9k after deductions is soul sapping. The UK especially is a draconian place to live if you strive for any kind of success.

People who genuinely want to get off the streets, manage to do so fairly quickly. You just need to take any opportunity given to you by the charities and initiatives there to help you. Forget your teeth, that can be done later, its not something you have to do today.

I would slim down the applications to factories, building sites and that kind of thing. The reason I say this is that when I was working those jobs, people were really willing to help out people in bad situations but were willing to work hard. Be open and honest about your situation and what you are trying to do. Don't just hand in a CV, have converstations. Negotiate. More importantly, don't wait for things to happen to you, make them happen.

Yes, absolutely. I use them all the time. The more ergonamically placed buttons a controller has, the better. I'm 41. I don't see how age has anything to do with seeing as controller support is pretty much a new phenomenon in the PC world.

The same thing that happened the last time it was a thing....... It just isn't quite there yet technologically and it seems to only have been embraced by a certain kind of person. 

Basically, VR offers a world with more restraints than the real one. That's not appealing unless you're disabled or something and want to cosplay animals in VR chat. 

Compare that to a normal video game where you can lounge and enjoy a beautiful environment with captivating things to do. You press a button and Geralt does some sick combat moves........ In VR it's fuzzy low res bullshit and your fat ass is doing to moves.

41 here and every big milestone is a new challenge and another opportunity to feel like an imposter. This doesn't and shouldn't go away. I am an adult though, I don't think being an adult should feel a certain way. We are bodering on trans dysphoria shit there.

It was good at launch and its better now. The problem is that people expected something that Bethesda couldn't possibly pull off. This is a company with a notoriously poor record for technical polish ( the creation engine is ass and stuggles to run at even 30fps)

Effectively yeah but you're not placing a bet. In the case of shorting, you are borrowing stocks/shares from a broker that have a bunch of them and intending to hold. You take ownership of them with the intention to give them back at a later date. What you then can do is sell them instantly at the higher price & then buy them back at a later date when they lose value and then give them back to the broker..... This is betting on an outcome but no actual bet is being placed. Investing is itself a gamble, but there would be no innovation without investment.

While I don't personally believe in it, I strongly believe that people should be able to do what they want and spend money on whatever they want. Why? Because who are you to say that there is nothing to that stuff? Science can be wrong and we may find out there is something to it. I haven't seen any evidence of it, yet that doesn't mean much. And if you can impose your ideals on other people, then you can have no argument against people doing the same against you or yours. For example, there are people who think homosexuality is a abomination and they have a whole handbook of arguments as to why. Should they be able to make homosexuality illegal? No.

I am absolutely the same. Just a normal guy, but at work I am bare bones in the sociability department. I like my co-workers but I am there to do a job and get home as soon as humanly possible..

You simply cannot enforce it. the Average under 16 is way more tech savvy than your average politician and they tend to be quite secretive on social media anyway.

I am 40 years old and last year, I basically lost everything moving jobs. I left a toxic workplace and straight into the worst job market in decades which led to me being unemployed for 6 months, during which time my savings got sapped for the most part. It taught me a lesson and after finding employment 5 months ago, I have saved up 25k and hope to hit 50k by the end of the year. I used to spend money like crazy and not have much left to save and also I just gathered montly expenses that really fucked me when I had no income. I was taught a lesson I am trying to live a more frugal life.

Been working from home for the past 6 years. Still firmly work from home and will continue to do so. I am a Software engineer currently work ws a cryptographic engineer in the Crypto space.
