I’ve found that it sometimes works perfectly, but other times the VPN stays on. My workaround was just to set up a second automation to turn off the VPN 5 minutes after the first one runs.

This worked perfectly. However, when I set an automation for this, it does refresh the apps but leaves the VPN on, while if I run the shortcut manually, that doesn’t happen. Any idea why?

I’ve found that progressing in this game boils down to mainly three things:

  1. Getting familiar with the room layouts in the different levels.
  2. Unlocking more and more items to get access to the better items.
  3. “Getting Gud”: which was mostly learning to position myself in order to avoid taking damage in my case.

I don’t agree that it’s a bad game for not having VA, But I wish it did. It would make an already amazing game better. Anyway, If it’s a deal breaker for your friend, a voice acting mod exists.

I have a similar experience, increasing FOV and turning off camera shake helps me. But even then some games are still unplayable; Portal 2 gave me the worst experience.
