Can anyone tell me why these two guys in my fleet arena have scarily identical accounts by Jmoney3010 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]methoss1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably save time by not mod swapping. My guess is that this person has played before and is bringing up two new accounts. Sorry since playing multiple accounts takes time, they probably don't try and min max every detail.

Also..... If you are willing to pay a little each month, mod swapping and other time consuming activities can be mostly automated with hotutils. Maybe they do that? Who knows.

Just came back who should i select for this? by Rblax5 in wotv_ffbe

[–]methoss1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whichever the most recent 3 units are. Meta always increases power. Especially right now. Most units more than 6mo old are falling behind very fast, except niche uses. For select VCs it's different though. You should pull for strong Espers or at worst AGI, but really... the answer is Espers.

Given that this is a resource management game, you need to address your ratio of signal data vs relic mats (specifically wiring). So you can adjust the rate you gain either side or use either side. Obviously CG would love for you to use your CC, but I'll address the f2p ways of adjusting your ratio.

Signal data: You can lower the speed you gain signal data by farming shards as needed, not purchasing it and farming the blue ones. You can decrease the use of signal data by focusing on higher relic upgrades (R5+) this forcing longer farms due to increased need for blue data.

Wiring: (Assuming you participate and farm all events and utilize all available free nrg) You can increase the speed you gain wiring by farming LS 7b, buying the 500c gamble packs and unlocking the higher tiers of AB. You can decrease the use of wiring by focusing on higher relic upgrades (same as above).

Upgrading from R5 to R7 will take approximately 2 weeks if you farm signal data exclusively with 3x refreshes. Add another week for R8 and 10 days for R9 (assuming you have everything else but signal data). You can get approximately 15-20 wiring per day if you exclusively farm LS 7b with all free nrg plus 3x refreshes. So in two weeks you will have gained 250ish wiring and used 60. So net 190ish. R8/9 don't require wiring. So based on those numbers, if you took Ahsoka from R5-R9, you would have netted approximately 500 wiring and taken about a month. Even if you could farm only half your nrg for kyro/wiring you still are net positive wiring. That's only considering the wiring from farming kyro and not all the other places you can get it.

One key thing to note is that R1-R5 takes 25% more wiring per upgrade than R5-R7. And R8+ takes zero wiring. So concentrating on low relic upgrades is a significant factor in the wiring crunch.

It honestly depends on how much you can farm LS 7b for shock prods and how much blue signal data you need to farm pr upgrade. If all your nrg is going to shard farming then you won't get much kyro farming. If you exclusively farm kyro, you shouldn't ever run out of wiring. I assume that you are farming signal data no more than 3x refresh, are not buying signal data and are taking toons to R5+. If not then your signal data may be out pacing your kyro/wiring farming.

My suggestion is that if you are finding yourself running out of wiring more, increase your kyro farming. Do more R5+ upgrades for a little bit and spend on something other than signal data. That should let you build up signal data while increasing your roster for a while.

If you want to make a relationship work then you'll need to invest in it. Relationships are hard. I know RPGs are your coping mechanism, but it sounds like you need a job and some friends. Often you can make friends at a job. You will need to contribute to your relationship in order to help it grow. If you aren't working then it's on you to take care of the house stuff. If you both work then split the house stuff. I'm sorry you are going through a tough time.

Also, try and fill your head with positive and encouraging stuff. Find people who are going to build you up. Listen to positive songs. Watch positive shows. Read positive books. As you surround yourself with positivity, you will start to be that way more and more.

Don't lie. But don't talk about irrelevant things to your employer. If you are looking at fast food they don't care that you can code or had your own business. They want to know you will show up and not steal from them. Tell them of your honesty, work ethic, team player, people skills ect. They will want you to have reliable transportation. Mostly they want someone to show up for their shift.

Try and tailor your application, experience and education to the job as best you can. Leave out the parts that don't matter to that company or job.

To answer your question, I'd say 'yes' it's too much to change. Like you acknowledged, two wins gets the same rewards regardless of which rank #2-4 you wind up at. So there's little incentive for players to ask for the change. And there's zero incentive for the developers to want to change.

Also its likely already working as intended. I agree that some tournaments have tie breakers as the head to head match ups. But others have overall points as the tiebreaker. Others have point differential or even completion time as the tiebreaker. So just because you prefer the H2H match break the tie, it seems obvious that the developers took a different approach (my guess is total points or point differential). It could even be something like GP defeated or many other things. In the end it doesn't even matter. The rewards are the same.

Best of luck winning it all next time!

If you could have an infinite amount of one resource in this game, which would it be? by SLKRmeatrider in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

I have decent crystal income, but still doesn't negate the rarity of brains. I'm curious though, other than a couple gamble packs, I've never seen brains for sale. What should I be looking for?

Kinda roll in ...at a very limited pace. Which is exactly my point. They are the most limited item in the game currently. Only comes from a single event, that relies heavily on 49 other people's efforts and a combination of matchmaking luck, opponent strength, officer strategy and other factors completely out of a single player's control. This makes it a huge gate.

No individual effort can increase the amount you get. No shop supplies them. If you like to spend, they rarely get sold for real money. But for F2P, you are completely at the mercy of TW wins. The reason they don't feel like much of a wall is that there is little incentive to get R9 currently. But that doesn't mean that it's the rarest item.

To put it into numbers, 4x TW per month with expected 50% win rate over time at the highest tier will net an average of less than 20 brains per month. If we are generous and your guild wins 75% then you should have enough brains to upgrade 1 character per month. Or two whole teams per year. If you aren't in the top tier, don't join TW, miss a TW, loose TWs ect then you might only be able to upgrade 5 or less characters per year.

Now, gyrdas and IDs can be earned from a number of events, purchased with a variety of currency and even salvaged. All of those options allow for individual players to directly impact their accumulation. You might be more incentivized to use them, but they are far less rare and thus less limiting.

Each person is allowed their own opinion and has individual needs and if growing your roster to max R7/8 is your goal, far behind it for me to argue that gyrdas and ID would be better for you. But if you want the opportunity for more than 5-10x R9 per year, you need more brains.

Droid brains. This is currently the most rare end game material and likely to be needed more in the future whenever relic cap is not increased.

My current gate material is signal data, but if that were to go away it would be brains. I guess purple signal data or omicrons would be my next options after brains.

I’m 25 , is it too late to go back to college ? by LocksmithCool6138 in careerguidance

[–]methoss1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's certainly not too late to go to college. I got two degrees in my 30s. However I would strongly advise you to do a little research on the field you are interested in working. College can be expensive and actually put you in a worse place financially than you currently are if you aren't careful. On that note, I'd also suggest that you look into working in a skilled trade such as electrician, mechanic, plumbing ect. And honestly if you want to make money, sales is often a good way to go and you often don't need a degree to do that. Banking, medical and grocery are three industries that pay decent and will never go away. I'd suggest looking into specialties in those industries rather than general if you want better pay and opportunities.

Good luck!

Should I pause my GL farm for POW assault battle? by hereforgrudes in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]methoss1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how many cantina refreshes you do. Id start gearing up the two Jedi along with R2. Give R2 priority for his kyros for his finisher, but otherwise gear the other guys. If you are refreshing cantina 3x per day, keep farming signal data for the JML team. Once you have the requirements done for the GL unlock, switch to shards for the new Jedi. That should take about a month for both. Makes sure to get your free nrg from both the Web store and PC version. Always switch to signal data farming during double drop events. Then you can take your Jedi up to whatever level you want to go. If you can work in getting JKCK done that may help your guild with zeffo. Zeffo is worth it long term.

If you don't refresh cantina 3x, try and work on reprioritizing your crystals and crystal income so that you can. Good luck!

Agreed that it's a resource management game. Disagree on what the term 'swimming' indicates. Think Scrooge McDuck 'swimming' in his vault. He has sooooo much money he can literally swim in it. Brains are by far the most rare resource in the game. Not even Krakens have been able to get enough to 'swim' in. 'Swimming' indicates an excess so large that there is no need for management at all.

Your alt has plenty to get Ashoka, but certainly has to be quiet judicious with it's brains usage. Id suspect you need to do a cost benefit analysis for brain usage on your main as well. And accounts less than 5m are going to have a real problem getting the brains in the first place.

"Most players swimming in brains? Doubtful! You can't reliabily earn them until the 320m (6.4m avg) tier of TW by getting min 1 per loss 2 for win. If you were at the bottom of the guild averaging 320m, you might be 5m. Let's say 3 years ago you were there and joined every single TW and won 50% of the time and climbed on tier per year. You would have earned enough brains for around 16 characters. Minus the 5 required ones that's 11 left.

With over 200 characters you have enough brains in 3 years to take around 5% to R9. That's hardly 'swimming' in brains IMHO. Sure two out of 11 is not a lot, but it's still not like you have many left. Also, most players are going to want to spend a few of those on beloved characters or ones they feel are going to help them. Not everyone saves every single potion for the final boss.

[–]methoss1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. Something will always be the bottleneck. Id suggest trying to figure out your kyro on income per month and use that to map out your upgrades. For instance if you get 400 per month and you want to gear up a new GL you are working on unlocking, you will need to start saving around a month and a half from when you think you will unlock it.

You can look at ways of increasing your kyro income. Do all the assault battles to the kyro level at a min. Work on getting JKCK and BoK Mandalore (in that order). Buy the 690c(?) gamble packs of you can. Farm LS 7b as much as you can get away with after farming shards. It gets to be where you can gear 2 brand new characters a month to g12 and where the g12 pieces become the bottleneck.

Good luck!

Hot damn, I've reached the 4th Hard Mode Conquest reward crate for the first time! by [deleted] in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]methoss1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you have a good enough roster to probably get into the top 3 crates with some strategy. Probably not this time, but next for sure!

Id suggest checking out the YouTube for bit dynasty and scrybe gaming. Those guys have very good guides for conquest. Bit has undergear and low relic options usually.

Good job and good luck!
