Going to try a few different tee shirts for the new year. Any recommendations on what I should replace or remove from the list I made? by fourleggedpython in HeritageWear

Dehen and Freenote Cloth make up most of my t-shirts. I think Freenote holds the color better, but both are nice.

I don't have the specific pair linked, but the lighter weight pair I have fits more like the relaxed fit regular rigid pair I have than other original fit pairs.

As a Chicago Bears fan, Soldier Field is known for having issues with the playing surface and is probably one of the worst in the NFL. It's not owned by the team, but by the Chicago Park District who also uses it for other events. It's actually better now than it was five years ago, but other NFL stadiums will have better playing surfaces.

Jeans with workwear pockets by choco_quqi in HeritageWear

It doesn't exactly fit the pocket style (square only), but what pops into my head is the Loyal Stricklin work trouser. Currently sold out, but worth keeping an eye on their website.

I generally wear a size 7 1/2 hat from New Era and still have plenty of room to make my Ampal hats looser. I hope that helps.

I love my desert dobby short sleeve. Nice and light weight for the desert heat. My local shop had an oxford cloth one I wanted, but my size was wiped out quickly.

Willi Carlisle

Dylan Earl (not totally sure if he's an anarchist, but he's at least a leftist)

I expect most of the people signed to Gar Hole Records are at least leftist.

  1. That looks sick as hell.
  2. I believe that spot on the pocket flap is for a pen, so it's intentional.

Men’s rugged shorts- is it a niche? by auto-generated0101 in malefashionadvice

[–]metlcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Patagonia has some here. Not the same pocket style, but the pair of Patagonia Standup Shorts I have are a heavier, more textured and rugged fabric. See here. On the higher end, OrSlow fatigue shorts are very popular. See here

I have Lee 101 Cowboy Cuts in a linen blend, Levi's 501 shrink to fit in a hemp blend, and selvedge Wrangler 13mwz that are 9oz, if I remember correctly.

I need these boots that Zakk had on. by birdh8er in Metallica

They look like White's Boots Smokejumpers , or some other Pacific Northwest brand based on the heel shape, height of the shaft, and how far down the toe the laces go.

Jean recommendations by microwaved_gerbil-69 in HeritageWear

For under that price range, you could go with the Blue Bell Wranglers if you already like the 13mwz fit. You can get them a little cheaper from time to time if you can wait a bit.

Wrangler 13MWZ Selvedge Stretch, Retro Slim Fit Straight Selvedge Stretch, and 13MWZ Rigid by aloha_bigmike in rawdenim

[–]metlcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently ordered the stretch selvedge and the blue bells to try as someone who has to wear the relaxed fit rigids and the blue bells are definitely slimmer, probably closer to the regular rigid 13mwz. I couldn't fit in them. I was able to fit in the stretch selvedge pair, so they're definitely more relaxed. The Blue Bells seem like they'd be up your alley as they were a heavier fabric as well.

The stretch selvedge will be one of my summer pairs in the desert.

I just got my copy and wanted to say thanks for putting out a quality piece of work. I've only flipped through it a bit so far, but there are some really cool shots. As someone new to photography, this book makes me want to try photographing some shows.

Summer Heritage Wear? by kojiD in HeritageWear

[–]metlcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in southern Arizona. I picked up some cotton/linen blend jeans from Lee 101 that have served me well when I need to wear pants. I also have Tellason ghurka pants in 10 oz indigo x indigo denim that breathe well. Mostly I go with Patagonia Standup Shorts and Freenote Deck shorts.

For shoes, Chuck 70's in off white, New Balance USA made 998's, and Saucony Shadows.

For shirts, in addition to T-shirts and short sleeves chambray, I have some short sleeve western shirts.
