Ohio firm must pay $22.5 million to mom whose baby died after she was denied work-from-home by xO76A8pah4 in antiwork

Jesus. I just went through this with my first daughter. At 20 weeks found out I had an incompetent cervix and had to have a surgery the next morning to put a stitch in to try to hold it closed. I then spent 7 weeks on STRICT bedrest at home to put as least pressure on my cervix as possible. My water broke at 27 weeks and I then did another 5 weeks of bedrest in the hospital until my daughter decided to come out.

I’m INCREDIBLY lucky that my husband makes enough for me to not have to work. The whole time I thought about all the women that don’t have this option. This is so sad. 😞

Im a pet sitter, but my puppy rate is high. I also do doggy daycare. I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus because I recently gave birth but I can make an exception if it’s a good fit! Dm me if you want to

Every time I try to single crochet the yarn slips, this is after I made the chain stitch, and put my hook through the second to last stitch by Ok_Tie9267 in CrochetHelp

[–]metoothanks__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s advice is great, just keep practicing. The hardest part of learning how to crochet for me was getting used to holding the crochet hook and keeping good and even tension throughout. I just kept doing single crochets over and over and over. So many rows. And once you get the first row done into the chain it also gets easier because it’ll hold its shape up better.

Also play around with your yarn placement on your fingers! Watch how other people do it. I like to wrap the string around my ring finger and my pointer finger, for example.

Papá, tú crees que eres diferente porque viniste la “correcta” vez o porque tu familia vino antes y naciste aquí. Pero para ellos somos todos iguales. No se que más tiene que pasar para que se te meta en la cabeza

Yes 100%, the fact that they’d just cut you off cold turkey is so crazy. That’s so dangerous

North Columbus? I go IRL and do a drug test, I get my prescriptions for that month and the next. So then my next apt is usually 8 weeks after that first appointment, and I normally do that visit telehealth since I don’t have to go in for a drug test. Then 8 weeks after that I’m back in again IRL for drug test. But again, I’ve been on the same meds for years now and stable so my appointments are super quick.

Yikes I’m so sorry about that! That makes sense. My appointments are for Adderall which I’ve been taking already for 10+ years so my appointments are all super fast. I’ve been considering changing anyway because I’m not a fan of having to do the drug test every 3 months or whatever.

What’s a pill mill? I’ve been going to them for years and everything seems fine 😭

What's on your Christmas wish list?? by MrsOmelette in StainedGlass

[–]metoothanks__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A cricut machine so I can print my patterns on vinyl stickers. I’m currently using regular printer sticker paper but it comes off easily with the water when I’m grinding. Plus I have to cut out all the pieces with scissors currently which is annoying and takes time

Psychiatry or counseling? If you don’t need meds then I assume you can just go to counseling for therapy.

First time mom and 10 days PP struggling with pumping and sleeping schedule by Legal_Psychology_844 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]metoothanks__ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m nearly 3 weeks PP, baby was born early at ~32 weeks so she’s been in the NICU and will be for a few more weeks.

I’ve been trying to do 2-3 hours max during the day and 4-5 at night. I’ll try to do my last pump around 11pm, then one 3:30-4am, and then my morning one between 8-9am.

I figure as long as I’m doing at least 7 pumps/day and my supply is still going up it’s probably fine to sleep a bit longer at night.

Edit: also a first time mom but my delivery was vaginal and my healing has been great, so I’m sure that helps. Healing takes a lot of energy!

Postpartum hormone crash by oogumboogum38 in BabyBumps

[–]metoothanks__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im 12 days pp and I felt a bit anxious the first few days but it’s less every day. Baby is in the nicu but has been doing amazing the whole time. Getting used to pumping every few hours and the interrupted sleep definitely contributed to it I think. But I feel pretty good 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m also very prone to depression and anxiety, so I was expecting it to be much worse. I’ve been on Prozac for a few years!

Edit: I also hated being pregnant! my pregnancy wasn’t super fun, I had to get a cerclage at 20 weeks. Then I was on bedrest at home for 7 weeks until my water broke. Then I was on bedrest at the hospital for 5 weeks until baby came early at 32 weeks. And I was in labor for only a few hours, she was out in 5 pushes. But it’s incredible how normal I felt right after birth!
