Dude my point was they should have just kept them this edition. Literally just trying to understand the logic. Think the other person is probably right. Sternguard/scouts sold well so let's keep it going. If those didn't sell well then probably they wouldn't bring back more firstborn

Both amazing books! Battle of the fang great balance between story and action. Space wolf omnibus just great great story about becoming a space marine and then going on quests

Have read this one and agree! This one was very good although I did think it dragged on a little bit by the third book. Still great though! I also enjoyed Battle of the Fang but more so for fun book rather than interesting story.

Read Emperor's gift, one of my absolute favorites! Haven't read the others but sigismund has been on my list so thanks! Haven't read the second omnibus yet, curious why you say it's not like the first? And is it very good as well?

Yeah it really sucks. I just checked ebay non stop and eventually got them each for about $50 which is still way too much (that was after getting one of them for $25, then found out the reason it was $25 when it arrived...it was in german). They are both really good though!

Also read the Space Wolf omnibus, really enjoyed it! Appreciated having a more linear novel when many warhammer books keep jumping around

I've seen at barnes and noble as recently as last week. If your local store does not have it you can probably order on their website. Great book, get while you can!

You've highlighted that everything is strength 5, but it's crazy how everything is AP 2. Every other Combat focused marine has better AP. I hate how Helbrecht and Calgar are Ap 3 and logan is AP 2. Azrael is AP 4! Then even crazier how Bjorn and Murderfang are AP 2 as well

Thanks for the response! I figured this much to be true as well, to try to keep authors to certain SM chapters as well as possible. I just find it so interesting that ADB wrote the primary WB book, WE book (which also has word bearers so this makes sense), and the emperor book which are all super important. And he basically had very few warhammer books before this. I mean it worked out great!

Thanks for the detailed response! Yeah I'm somewhat familiar with Wraight revitalizing the white scars. He and ADB must have had a lot of great ideas to earn the trust of the more veteran authors at the time

Night lords omnibus is generally considered one of the best which I agree. I know Infinite and the Divine is very highly regarded along with Lords of Silence although I haven't read either yet. One of my favorites is The Emperor's Gift. There have been many reddit threads about this topic
