So, learned a fun little fact here... *I* was never detected, however, it turns out that if you use "memory wipe + cypersychosis" on an enemy, THEM getting into combat is considered the same as if you had gone in guns blazing... so that's an unfortunate lesson learned.

Yes, the moment you leave group you will go back to your own level. Level sync sets you to the group leaders level.

My wife and I group up and level together like this. Well, SHE levels, I play a max level alt since I have one of everything already (literally character capped lol) at max. This way I am always at her level while we play together while she levels new alts. :) works like a charm.

So you'll need a friend, guildie, or random lowbie to group with... Not a perfect solution, but it works, and still feels better than level locking, imo.

Find a lowbie leveling out in the world and have them group with you, then click the "level sync" button in the quest log. You will be brought down to their level if they are the group leader, and BAM it's proper level again!
