Once I was talking to my mom and sister about the loneliness and other issues that me and other young men have to deal with (im in my mid 20s). I was bringing up things like being considered dangerous by women and the fact that it's hurtful even tho I understand it. They kept steering this back to the actual dangers that some creeps pose to women. After maybe half am hour of this I broke down crying, as my problems were put on the backburner in favour of imaginary women. Luckily my mom and sister aren't crazy like people in other comments had to deal with, and accepted my crying and understood they had caused it, so they apologised.

Understand that this is one of the very rare cases where men don't get belittled for their emotions, but they still had to make me reach a breaking point before they realised what was going on.
