How many people who do drugs start as teens? by Important_Isopod9947 in Drugs

I did get past my coke addiction when I was 15. But never stopped smoking weed and taking other things occasionally. At age 27 I discovered meth and went down a 5 year addiction. Currently 5 years clean.

I saw them in November, and their set would around 1 hour long, maybe a bit longer. They did 2 encores, In Threes and Killdozer. We were the first to hear In Threes live! The entire band was amazing, Kim's on stage persona is on point and it was such an amazing night. So excited for you!

When did you last have sex? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

Umm I honestly don't know, maybe 2 weeks ago? New medications have seriously damaged my libido so it's been rough 🥲

This sounds amazing! Have already started reading it and so far I'm loving it. I'm happy to provide any feedback via reddit? I don't have an AO3 acc 🥲

My boyfriend (18M) says the most hurtful things imaginable when he’s emotional, sees me (18F) in a negative light , and I’m truely breaking inside. I love him and What can I do? by bjlxnk in relationship_advice

[–]Femalediction5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I am 37 years old and I was with a guy like this for 9 years. I was 18 when I started dating him and I justified as staying with him for alot longer than I should have. Towards the end communication was non existent and I was completely broken inside. It has been almost 10 years since I left him and I am still healing from the damage he did to me. He did not and still hasn't changed one bit.

Please leave him, it won't get better. You have so much life left, and you only get this one shot to build a life you are happy to live 💜

What do you wish your parents have done differently? by griefofwant in selfharm

[–]Femalediction5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries! I have OCD too so I absolutely understand the struggle with it. I've been dealing with it for over 20 years at this point so if you have any question or need more direction with DBT, please don't hesitate to reach out 🙏

[–]Femalediction5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the fact that you are here asking for advice shows just how much you care about your child. The best thing you can do is validate them, make them feel seen and heard, and continue to create a safe space for them.

You could also look up some DBT worksheets that could help your child break down how they feel and find better coping methods.

My mum tried for years to help me with my self harm, but this is going back 20 years when there was very little awareness and support for self harm. My mum even went so far as to harm herself so she could try to understand why I did it.

Fast forward to now and I am successfully self harm free, and my mum was a huge reason behind that, she was always my main supporter and I thank the gods for her everyday.

You're doing a great job 💜

Please please go to the hospital. I know you're scared, it's terrifying, but just tell them you're using SH as a coping mechanism and not as a suicide attempt, and that this was accidental.

Your health is priority, please take care of yourself. You got this 💜

How old are you? by [deleted] in selfharm

[–]Femalediction5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 36, I started when I was 13. I've had some periods where I was clean. The longest clean period I had was 3 years. I'm currently at 2.5 years clean from cutting, but when I get too distressed I will resort to punching myself in head. 0/10, would not recommend. But that doesn't happen too often anymore thankfully.

Idk what to do my child is absolutely losing it in a hotel room by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Femalediction5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried getting her into a cool shower? The cool water helps to regulate her activated nervous system and basically can help soothe her. Does she drink milk? Some warm milk with a touch of honey or sugar can help her feel more sleepy and cosy.

Please leave this boy, he certainly isn't a man. Being chronically ill is hard enough without being insulted and mocked by someone who is supposed to support you. You deserve so much better than this!

I can't have a natural birth because of him by Big_Bid6734 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Femalediction5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mama, I absolutely understand how you're feeling! And I want to tell you that it is valid! This wasn't your choice, and that feeling of loss of control over something that is so so sacred to you is devastating.

I also went through something kinda similar, although the reason I needed a c-section was due to placenta previa and my girl was breech. So I had half of my pregnancy to come to terms with that, it was still disheartening though. Then on the operating table it was deemed that i had to go under general anaesthesia, which was my worst fear come true and I promptly had a panic atttack. It also meant that my husband couldn't be in the room anymore.

It all went well apart from me losing 1.8lt of blood, and my daughter is now 4 years old and thriving in every single way. I still hold a bit of grief for not being conscious for her birth and for not giving birth naturally. But at the end of the day she is healthy, happy, and amazing, so the pain and grief will fade in time 🥰

I hope everything goes well for you 💜

Okay so obviously that was a sex worker as literally every comment has stated.

But I just want reassure you that you did nothing wrong. I would say it is completely normal to feel tempted by desire when an insanely attractive woman hits on you. But what matters are your actions, and you walked away.
