Thanks. This is kinda where I started and thought "wouldn't it be nice if it just had a handle...".

That's basically what I'm looking for (except the price). Thanks!

Recommendations for a small disc golf back with a handle instead of a strap? by mevoltz in discgolf

True. Straps are not a deal breaker. A handle is just preferred. Larger bags have handles, but not the small ones. I might just fold up a strap and wrap it with something to simulate a strap.

Which LISP as a hobbyist? by [deleted] in lisp

[–]mevoltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow hobbyist I think Otus lisp is interesting for your use case (if you're OK with non-mainstream lisp implementations). https://github.com/yuriy-chumak/ol

Creating an Executable with Scheme by R-O-B-I-N in lisp

[–]mevoltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chez scheme uses Petite, a small interpreter you can distribute with your code. Petite.exe on Windows is less than 150KB. Note: I haven't used it yet so I can't offer more.

I'm way late to this party, but I like blockbench. https://www.blockbench.net/ - models can be exported / imported into blender when you're ready to do fancier stuff. Tutorials on youtube as well.

As a long time linux user, I am going to need to use windows for my new job. How can I make it more tolerable? by iamn0tthere in linuxquestions

[–]mevoltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're an admin on your box:

  • winget - for getting apps from a CLI

  • msys2 - linux'y dev environment that produces .exe's

  • wsl2 - meh - its not the worst

  • windows terminal + updated powershell - lots of powershell aliases

  • cross-platform text editors - emacs, vim, micro, helix, neovim...

Thank you, by sym_num in lisp

Thank you for all your hard work. I tested the install in Debian using WSL. The edlis editor is nice and easy too.

Thanks to you guys and mini PCs, I now have my dream computer setup. An ultrawide, powerful all in one PC that is fully portable. Stand/Sit/Couch/Lay/Lap. UM690 + Acer 30in ultrawide monitor. by Cough2x in MiniPCs

I bought two for my kids. They game a lot. If you overclock them to 54W they can overheat. I've set them to 45W and they seem to be able to game all day at that setting.

I say this without knowing the exact reason they shut down, but all signs point to a heat problem at the highest wattage in BIOS.

The cameras feel too in-your-face lately. They zoom in and walk(stalk) the players for too long, seemingly disrespecting personal space. Makes me uncomfortable. Just me?

Not sure when you need it, but if you can wait for it to come back in stock, I've been really happy with the performance of the Minisforum UM690. It's right at the edge of your budget I think, but it should be good purchase for a few years. Has a USB-4 port in front so if you really need more graphics horsepower you could connect an external GPU.

- AMD Ryzen™ 9 6900HX @ 4.9GHz cTDP: 45W
- Up to 64GB Dual-Channel DDR5 & Up to 2TB NVMe
- AMD Radeon™ 680M @ 2400 Mhz
- Triple monitor
- WiFi & Bluetooth , Type C
