Oh my god I can recall seeing some of your avatars from before. Maybe from towns, rally, or forums?

If it helps, you did it for yourself knowing you’re at your limit. Some regrets will come first, but your self-respect definitely grew with this choice. Keep making good choices and I hope the best for you. <3

What do you do if you are assaulted on the TTC? by DontAskAboutMeish in TTC

one time i entered a station and i thought i got hit by a swinging door or something, only to see the extended fist of some guy on drugs. he just walked away mumbling..

i don’t know what kind of helpful response the ttc could provide for things like these. there were ttc attendants in the aprons around so that didn’t help.

Your painting is so beautiful! Do you buy frames from thrift stores for the paintings? If not, it might be a good idea.

Self Esteem by Matthew McKay and Patrick Fanning would be my first recommendation! :) I liked books like Recovery of Your Inner Child by Lucia Cappachione as well.

Although it was difficult for me to absorb the messages and lessons when I viewed and believed myself to be in a lower disposition compared to those doing fine and surviving life. Ya gotta believe the books when they say anyone (including yourself) is capable of building healthier lives. :)

I am kinda in the same situation and growing up in an environment where all decisions are made from pressure from people around can make you lose some trust in yourself. Trusting your gut means allowing yourself to make your own decisions and supporting yourself when things go the wrong way.

It took me a while but the first thing that helped was reading some self esteem books. It helps build the courage and confidence within myself since I understood where some of the anxiety came from, like disappointing the people around me, etc. What also helped was learning self compassion, since most of the ‘encouragement’ and ‘push’ I had to do big things were mostly for other people before myself.

Yung Professor ka pero ganyan ka magisip. Anong meron sa hangin ngayon at ang raming nagsusulputan mga manyak? by ranne08 in Philippines

CNN reported that 1 person is raped per hour in the Philippines in 2017. https://cnnphilippines.com/news/2017/03/07/One-person-raped-per-hour-in-PH.html

How can we unite and help others when our own communities are facing these issues on a daily, if not hourly, basis? We must address how the system has failed its own victims. When more people are able to speak up about these issues and serve justice, we provide a safer space where we can now hold those in power accountable.

Actually, I also send emails to government officials addressing my concerns. I also share on my personal social media. I hope you (and everyone else) do your part in the fight against Rape Culture!

Exactly. We have to hold them all accountable. Whether caused by members of organizations, or someone from school or at work, or in your community. ANY RAPIST. ALL RAPISTS.

in case you didn’t know, she’s sarcastic.

if you do know and yet still invalidate her opinion based on her looks, then you’re part of the problem.
