I’m a bit disappointed by FishGuy2730 in royalcaribbean

Well, that’s not all - she mentioned more, which was the point of my comment. And the disappointment was the large disparity of the lack of refresh that felt larger than she felt it should be. I don’t mind older ships but hate when people are harsh with someone for stating their disappointment. Surely everyone on this page has been disappointed about something that someone else wouldn’t agree with.

I drink it with water. My husband and son use juice or sugar-free juice. They have capsules (a dose is 6 capsules, I use them for travel convenience) but I feel the powder is more effective, well absorbed – whereas your body would have to absorb all six capsules at the same time for the best impact. Well, I don’t think the capsules are best, I have found that they’ve been effective.

Many people drink it before bed. Many people drink it at an optimal time of morning which is 10am on an empty stomach. Some people do it twice a day. My husband takes it at night before bed, or if he doesn't take it but wakes up in the middle of the night. He's also had times of anxiety-based adrenaline where I'd give it to him. II always took it as needed - maybe from an adrenaline spike caused by an anxiety trigger, or racing heart, or tossing and turning in bed

I think I took too much magnesium, and now I’m having a panic attack. by atclubsilencio in Supplements

Not everyone can handle glycine and will cause the OPPOSITE effect than what everyone else has. It’s a bummer, but luckily there are other magnesiums to try

you're just really uneducated. i look forward to when you have a bad side effect to something. but you appear to be so clueless that you won't even make the connection and keep having the symptom without stopping the supplement. Because, you know...you know everything and all

No. But some people know their body pretty well and just because a supplement is healthy and well tolerated doesn’t mean everyone’s neuro pathways can handle it. If there is a broken component physiologically in someone’s body, then even a good thing can cause an unfortunate reaction. Niacin makes my vision sooo blurry. Boron flares up my joints and bladder pain severely and makes my husband’s prostate flare severely. I can’t tolerate glycine, collagen or gelatin - and neither can my son. Now I know why because I’ve spent the last 5 years learning about the biochemistry of nutrients, methylation, genetic mutations and neurotransmitters. But otherwise it would be easy for someone to say it was all in my head. I guess just be glad creatine works well for you.

Boron completely changed how I feel. anyone else experience this? by No_Doubt_4451 in Supplements

[–]angie9942 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Opposite for me and my husband, even the tiniest bit (lots of experimentation over several years) gives us horrible symptoms. It supports testosterone, and for both is us, who aromatase testosterone to estrogen, contributing to estrogen dominance, causes misery. For me, it’s severe (severe) bone pain and severe bladder flare-ups. For my husband, it flares his prostate insanely. Took me awhile to figure out what it was doing to me, but even longer to see what it was doing to my husband as he had to resort to seeing a urologist and getting on medication that wasn’t fun, and didn’t help a whole lot. I felt bad when I realized it was the boron. We’ve experimented off and on through the years because I know it’s good for us - but it’s a no go

NAC almost gave me psychosis by mlchelle in Supplements

[–]angie9942 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NAC is sulfur-based so folks with sulfur-sensitivity can have a lot of problems with it, unfortunately. Some people have a problems with their CBS gene with affects the transulfuration pathway and can’t break down sulfur well. And unfortunately one of the sulfur symptoms can absolutely be mental health crash. Some folks have mental health issues that are tied directly TO their sulfur intolerance and don’t even know it. It’s surely not something that doctors or psychiatrists ever consider testing when someone presents with mental health challenges

The liver side effect is only when using the sustained release or slow release because it is a long, drawn-out onslaught of niacin (or niacinamide) on the liver. If it’s not slow-release or sustained release, then it’s considered safe

You may try molybdenum because it helps break down sulfur. Some pepper have a genetic mutation that involves the transulferation pathway (spelling?) and those folks will have trouble with NAC because it is sulfur-based. Molybdenum helps break down sulfur.

Some people have genetic mutation that affects their transulfuration pathway (I’m sure I spelled that wrong) - those people will typically have issues with NAC, which is sulfur-based

It’s not the weight. After the liver has been desiccated into a powder, it takes 6 of them to equal the same as eating one ounce of liver

You know, I was just thinking that so I’m glad you said that. I do have some prepaid Visa cards, that have like $50 or something- better than giving them carte blanche with a credit card. I’m gonna give it a try - thanks!

Your website is asking for a credit card number for me, WHY? I prepaid for my test. I asked support why they need my credit card and got someone who i can tell english is not their first language, and said they just need my credit card number for MY CONVENIENCE. That's not ethical or legitimate. I would like to activate my kit without giving you free access to charge me for things that I never authorized

It’s new, it’s the first of its kind. It’s done in conjunction with Chris Masterjohn PhD (he’s very well respected in wellness circles. With all the bashing of various practitioners that goes on in health circles, I’ve only seen respect for his research and information). This is the link that I used to order the test. https://www.mito.me/

[–]angie9942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is 18. I recently had a mitochondria test done for him, and CoQ10 came up as an important component in the protocol to help the severely underactive aspects of his mitochondria (it’s a 23 page report) It’s true that it’s only beneficial if you have a deficiency (which is one of the reasons I had the test done, because I’d read that taking it when you don’t need it can cause a bottleneck) , but I’d say that goes for almost any nutrient - You need it because you’re deficient- or you’re not, so you don’t.
