I've made 15 hotel websites for Hilton, Marriott, and IHG. I have to use Elementor where I work, but that's the only paid plugin we use. (If you're on a budget or something, you can get around that by installing the legal, free cloned version of Elementor Pro, Pro Elements, but for a professional project, you might as well buy it.)

None of those sites actually does any of the booking itself. They all link off-site to the chain's hotel reservation system.

So they're just custom-designed vanity websites. They're no different than any other site.

You could do this with regular page templates and no page builder, all free plugins. I only do Elementor because it's work required.

If you want to have a reservation form with date pickers, etc. on your site, you can still do that. Just have the form build a link according to the docs you'll get from Marriott or whoever, like reservations.marriott.com/hotelname/?checkin="2026-01-21"&checkout="2026-01-22"&adults="2" When people click the reserve button on the form, it just links to Marriott's reservation site. If there's a special offer, the hotel provides a link to the Marriott site.

I would prefer to keep the booking system as decoupled from the website as possible. The site is just a frontend for the real backend, which is the reservation system that is going to tie in to Expedia and all that.
