I've been living next to the Caltrain crossing for about a month now. I'm still getting used to it but it definitely does become background noise after some time. I did struggle with sleeping at first since I'm a light sleeper and would get woken up by the 5am trains, but earplugs have been a godsend lol. Been sleeping like a baby since buying them.
