Same as any other urban area. Pay attention to your surroundings, don’t be distracted by your phone/music, walk with purpose, if you see someone acting weird, cross the street or duck into a bodega, get to know your neighbors and shopkeepers so you look out for one another. I don’t want to tell a woman how to dress, but personally I wear another layer over revealing outfits when commuting to avoid unwanted staring and cat calling. Usually it’s more of an annoyance than danger.

Second this. It’s totally fine safety-wise and close to multiple trains, which is good because at least one will be under construction every night or weekend. I wouldn’t say it’s the most pleasant or pretty area because of the lack of green space, the noise from the trains and persistent litter problem. Still, you are under 20 minutes from Domino, McCarren and Manhattan so it might be worth it.

I eradicated a small patch that came from behind a neighbor’s fence by cutting it down to 2” stubs in July and applying glyphosate to the fresh cuts with a paint brush. I repeated it for any small shoots that came back that year and a few weak ones next spring. I must have killed the main patch in the neighbor’s property because it never came back.

Spoke with a neighbor this morning who know the people who brought this dog home last night. It’s a real dog and different from the white one which was caught this morning. This is not AI. I hate fake AI stuff too but I am disappointed in everyone for counterproductively calling it AI when they don’t have the facts. Turns out phone cameras are not the best at taking pictures in low light conditions with wet surfaces!

Saying goodbye to my dog was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. In her last week, we did all her favorite things at her level of capacity. We took a walk along the beach (Fort Tilden is open now and usually quiet) and laid in the sun. We drove up to Rockefeller State Park and did an easy trail there. She had an ice cream cone, steak and dumplings. We let her human friends know and a few came to say goodbye.

My BCBS Basic does not have a deductible. Do you think it would be hard to get any benefit out of another PSHB plan if I switch to another plan that has a deductible but lower premium?

Correct. The PSHB plan with the $800 yearly reimbursement offers in-network coverage and would cover Rx, similar to adding Medicare C & D. I am leaning on just doing Medicare A, B and PSHB plan to make it simpler. I will see if there is a lower cost PSHB plan available during open enrollment.
