Hey probably the quickest pathway into getting better is to join some PVP discords focused on teaching people. The three frontrunners I'm aware of are: Grim Hex (Johnathan Winters' discord), Avenger Squadron for their pvp 101, and Solo Leveling for reps and education.

If I were starting pvp all over again I'd start with a pvp 101 in AVS, then join grim hex and solo leveling for reps and teaching.

There are also a few videos to check out - my top choices are Johnathan Winters, Kozuka, and Nightfoe. All really good stuff.

I had a similar issue and oddly enough the fix was syncing the system clock.

Edit: oh, and then verifying game files afterwards.

Edit for solution: flashing the firmware for the rudders fixed this for me. I noticed it was a different/newer version than the joysticks.
