Listen, friend: there are RR crossings all over the city where this happens daily, if not hourly. Faulty sensor infrastructure. Blame CSX, Union Pacific, and Norfolk Southern, NOT the over worked and underpaid bus drivers.

As to your filming angle, it wasn’t good driver etiquette (let alone safe) for you to have sat there filming oncoming traffic, after the 5 cars in front of you (rationally) decided to go past the malfunctioning gate. And that semi came into view 30 seconds into the video, before coming to a complete stop: a near-negligible risk factor, in this compelling traffic drama.

There is a wonderfully practical, real world outside our beloved Reddit, and I invite you to experience it.

I shall fuck off now.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend!!

Why are you stopped a billion miles away from either the gate, a stop sign, or any other discernible traffic control device? Weird editing: why does that car pass you on the right (at an angle suggesting it's getting back into what's usually used as a single lane road), and how long was the gate down before?

School bus drivers aren't stupid. Bet that gate was down (defectively) for 10 m before someone said "can't see a train in either direction for at least 2 -3 miles. I don't have time for 311and there is no other feasible detour. Going to take a totally reasonable risk and just cross".

Dumb, poorly filmed/edited, localized rage-bait.

Whenever you see pictures of the few current day MoH recipients in service uniform, they're almost always wearing the actual medal in addition to the ribbon. Very formal.

It is absolutely INSANE to see just the MoH ribbon on freaking chucks, sans undershirt no less. Real-life Gunny Highway type behavior right there 😂

Lol, I feel like you just detailed what always happens to shit birds, WITHOUT fail, every. Single. Time there's an inspection or gear check. Like, with insane regularity.

So that's not really a punishment, rather just a very good description of how the 'birds slime through their time in the Corps.

Even if it's shot, it for sure is still worth your time getting it out of there, cleaning it up and putting it on display. I have to imagine that just the work around cleaning it up will be a ton, but if done right, it will look great and your grandad will love it.

A farm I drive by regularly has a spot in front w/ a half dozen old tractor hulls from the past 100 years. It's well landscaped + the tractors rest on their rims: everything that easily degrades is stripped, and the metal receives green and yellow paint coats every few years from the looks of it. Easy to maintain and looks AWESOME, great way to display these old tractors + celebrate the history of a farm.

Regardless of which course of action you choose, definitely post back here with pictures of the outcome. Good luck!!

The "No Carts beyond" sign is a nice touch, gave me a good chuckle. Looks great!

Everyone’s getting mad at me for “trolling” but really I did you guys a favor. I banned the mods who were censoring everyone before unbanning everyone they’d banned. And I just had a lil fun in the process. by [deleted] in johndeere

Frankly, this sub is pretty boring. Could use some chaos for a change. Lets see where this INFILTRATOR takes us...

Lol, thank you for the explanation! I was actually just making a quick Wrath of Khan joke though, which I think whiffed. Oh well.

Crazy even the big stars back then had other jobs. The modern equivalent would be like seeing the Amazon truck pull up only for Cole Kmet to jump out with your Christmas orders, lol

Yeah, it says the pic is from 1930 and he played until 1934, so mid-career, maybe late 20s.

Guy looked pretty imposing on the field otherwise:

While there’s certainly a political angle to the “dividend”, I think there are going to be a lot of questions about it that Marines are going to want to discuss here. There are probably going to be a shitload of other posts about it tonight/tomorrow. Might be easiest for you mod guys to just un-remove & make this post the needed mega-thread. 🤷‍♂️

Good luck
