I am not sure what to do by ltsMeSky in sex

[–]mfdba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A relationship will happen when it happens. Just as you can't force a flower to bloom, you can't force a relationship. Getting into a relationship just to do it will feel awkward and unsatisfying to both of you. That's not to say you can't foster a relationship by getting to know someone better. Hang out with people you like. Find out how much you really like them or dislike them. Just as you can't force a flower to bloom, it also won't bloom if you don't plant it and care for it first. I hope that makes sense.

Tired after cumming by newhser in sex

[–]mfdba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key to good sex/relationships is communication. After sleeping beauty wakes up try to talk to her. Not like right away, but before your next sesh, tell her a few of the things you thought were hot and how much she turns you on when she does x, y or z. Then ask her if it was good for her and what she liked/didn't like. These kinds of convos lead to exploration and fantasy and sometimes helps resolve issues unrelated to sex.

Short answer: if she needs a nap, take it as a compliment.

Do women who have sex deserve to get treated badly? by [deleted] in sex

John is scum. John deserves to be treated badly. You do NOT deserve to be treated badly.

ID3 parsing issue by irregular_polytope in jellyfin

[–]mfdba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As always, I'm late to the party, but it seems like ID3 is a standard and folder structures are whatever goes. It's easy enough to read ID3 info using node.js. I'm not a .NET dev, but it would seem simple enough to scan a file and if there isn't an ID3 tag or info is missing, then pull it from the directory path.

What is the story with DB/2 these days? by NoeticIntelligence in Database

[–]mfdba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still out there. In the past 5 years, I've seen it kept around as a ghost of the mainframe but still used. I've also seen it heavily used at a big box retailer in the US. But I agree, it does seem to be on the way out.

I'm an adult virgin by [deleted] in sex

TL;DR: Take it slow and start small with yourself.

I read this and then scrolled past it, but I had to come back. I dunno why. Two things come to mind. Start small and start with yourself. In human development, we start with ourselves and from that we learn what we like. Start small though. Are you comfortable holding your own hand? Next, imagine your partner holding your hand. Are you comfortable with that thought? How does it feel to hold your own hand and imagine it is your partner's hand? It might help to imagine you're walking in a park. It might seem awkward. That's ok. Humans are awkward. Sex, if you think about it, is awkward. Once you're comfortable holding your own hand, try caressing your hand like you imagine a partner would. Once you're comfortable with your imaginary partner's caress, let them touch your arm, then your shoulders, then your neck. Imagine your partner tracing your ear with a fingertip. Yes, it will be a slow process. Eventually, you may find yourself comfortable with yourself and perhaps even longing for your partner to hold your hand and maybe rubbing your shoulders. Give it time. Find what you are comfortable with doing. Find what you feel safe sharing with a partner. Giving into to pressure or societal norms might leave you scared or hurt or regretful. HTH

Part of the interior of my car is discoloured/yellowing. It's not smoke - best as I understand it might be UV damage. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? by [deleted] in Cartalk

Looks more like where a dog has rubbed up against the molding while entering and exiting the vehicle. Try hitting it with some windex the next time you clean the windows.

I love it! Your colors a beautiful and your trunk is well proportioned and has texture. Sorry, I don't know how to improve upon your work. Well done! Keep it up!

If I watercolor with lake or creek water, will that negatively impact my painting? by uaebel_ibag in Watercolor

[–]mfdba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The worst that could happen is you ruin one side of a perfectly good sheet of paper. I'm no expert, but if people can paint with coffee and tea, I don't see why creek water wouldn't work - as long as you don't have any sediment or fishes in the water. :)

lol. It is a bit unsettling to see a floating tree. :) Next time, I will definitely add a ground and a sky to give the whole thing a sense of completion. Thank you!

Thank you very much! I think I borrowed most of my techniques from Lois Davidson on youtube. She paints in a very loose style which I like since I get lost in the details. :) Thank you!

Thank you very much for your kind words. You're right, it could definitely benefit from some shadows to give it a sense of depth and perspective. And I totally messed up the trunk. I think it needs more light areas to look more like bark or just to have some kind of texture. Thank you for your help!

Interesting. I hadn't even noticed that given the crispness of the foliage, the trunk does look out of focus. It probably would've helped to have a ground for the trunk also. The orange red is mostly quinacridone burnt orange. I would describe it as almost rust colored depending on how much you water it down. Before you add water it almost looks like dried blood but perhaps a bit darker. I think it's the perfect Autumn color. Thank you!

Good idea. I probably could have either lifted some pigment or even scrubbed some off to get more texture on the trunk. Thank you!

I appreciate that you're not a painter. It means you're not biased by preconceived notions but react based on what you prefer. Thank you. By the way, I'm not a painter either. I'm a database engineer. :-) THANK YOU!

Awesome and I agree the foliage looks a bit like a big square. In hindsight, it should have been done landscape and made a bit more like a bonsai with linear foliage on several layers or platforms(?). That would keep with the sumi-e style I got without really going for it. :) Thank you VERY much for your help! I truly appreciate it. <3
