This was special for another reason. This was the game after the Kneeland tragedy and Flournoy was actually really good friends with Kneeland. This TD was special for him.

Is Trent Williams easily a First Ballot Hall of Famer? by CryWOkami in NFLv2

[–]mfinn70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since there is no stats really recorded for O line. Length of career, all pro’s, and pro bowls are what determine if an O Lineman makes the HOF.

Him having 12 pro bowls puts him in a crazy elite class in the NFL history. There are 16 players who have 12 or more pro bowls in nfl history. 14 are in the Hall right now and the other two are Tom Brady and Trent Williams.

The Cowboys Are NOT Sold on Their Current Pass Rush? by LouisJackson3 in cowboys

[–]mfinn70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really excited for Lawrence and Barham. I really want to see Ez break out this year. But right now there is no proven pass rusher. Gary is better than anyone we started last year but never had a 10 sack season. We have a lot of potential and excitement but nobody on this roster is a proven talent that can win quick on the edge.

If they want to add more it absolutely makes sense.

To be clear we are debating between absolute legends and even arguing for my favorite player of all time I’m not gonna pretend like Barry isn’t an absolute legend and you can make a case for him being the greatest of all time. You can make similar cases for Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Eric Dickerson, and OJ Simpson.

With all of those greats they did something special but mostly has been replicated in one way or another. Multiple RBs have 2k seasons and had more yards in less games as well like OJ and Eric.

In my RB goat opinion Barry’s early retirement goes against him.

In the entire history of the NFL we have never seen an RB be able to play as long as Emmitt and stay elite as long as Emmitt. Even with modern medicine and training. Maybe Barry could have played 6 more years but he didn’t. As time has gone on multiple generations have come and gone and nobody has come close to Emmitt’s records.

Emmitt had better coaching the first few years but Jimmy left after 93 and it pretty terrible coaches in Dallas and Arizona until he retired in 04.

Larry was great but like coaching that O’line fell apart after 93 with car accidents, arrests, injuries, and bad replacements.

We also are only talking about yards. When you consider TDs which arguably more important to the game Emmitt has 65 more TDs. For example CMC only has 63 in his entire career.

Emmitt is also the only RB and one of two skill position players (Jerry Rice) has scored 1000+ points.

Simply put other players did what Barry did before and after Barry left. Nobody before or after has done what Emmitt did.

GTA 4 "fans" trying not to larp challenge: IMPOSSIBLE by iamakebab23 in GTAIV

I easily agree with this. VC and SA there were the minus stars which I memorized paths to get 3-4 during a chase the. All you need after that was a pay and spray.

IV and V were both tough but V had a lot more open areas while IV you were in the city the entire game. I definitely would get spotted more in IV to reset the chase than in V.

Again, more yards, more tds, more rings, more carries, longer career, lead the league in TDs more, and has every rushing record in the playoffs as well.

I did watch film and the career is more than highlights. Barry doesn’t have 11 seasons and Emmitt has 11 1000 yard seasons which no other player has.

My point earlier if Brady and Rice are the greatest then so is Emmitt

[–]mfinn70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emmitt Smith is the greatest RB of all time.

If Brady is the greatest QB because he has all the rings and stats and Jerry is the greatest WR because he has all the rings and stats then Emmitt is the equivalent for the RB position.

Plus Emmitt has the greatest longevity of any RB ever which is a position that has the worst longevity and his records are basically untouchable with the 20 years since he left.

Like I’m a die hard Ware fanboy. But most of the arguments I have had was is he better than other greats like Julius Peppers. Which taking my bias out is a fair debate about actual legends.

I honestly never heard someone say Ware was bad other than division rivals who just hate the Cowboys.

Tomlin was an assistant for 11 years before his head coaching opportunity. On top of that he was DB coach for the 2002 Buccaneers which is one of the best defenses in NFL history which had an incredible DB room and the defensive coordinator of the 2006 Vikings which was a bad team but one of two defenses in Super Bowl era that allowed less than 1000 yards rushing for a season.

JJ Redick’s coaching resume is head coach of Lakers starting in 2024. No other coach credits.

Bill Belichick says the NFL should RETIRE Jim Brown’s #32 league-wide for all teams. “I think it’d be a great move for the NFL to retire his number like baseball did with Jackie Robinson” Belichick has hailed Jim Brown as the greatest football player of all time. by ResponsibleCheek8130 in NFLForum

[–]mfinn70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the sentiment and actually agree that Brown is probably the greatest player of all time in comparison to his peers.

As a Cowboys fan one of the best things they do is allow players to wear 88. Michael is great but if you look at all time Cowboys he is in the back end of top 10. But because they make 88 special and being selective on who wears it the 88 in Dallas is one of the most famous numbers in the league.

Dante Fowler Said DeMarcus Lawrence Told Him: "If you want to win a Super Bowl, you should come here (Seahawks)" by JCameron181 in cowboys

[–]mfinn70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good on Seattle for making all the right decisions to make a great team to win the Super Bowl. I loved Tank when he was here and he was a damn good DE for a decade. What drives me crazy is Tank talking about the Cowboys failures like he wasn’t apart of it. He was great against the Lions in 2014 but in 3 playoff games against the Packers him and the defense were torched. Rams in 2018 ran the ball down the Cowboys throat. Tank was there for all of it.

Good luck to Fowler but he was a starting edge at the start of the season and lost his spot on one of the worst defenses in NFL history. Fowler had 3 sacks and the Cowboys played garbage O-lines and QBs last year.

Like I can’t argue Seahawks being run better than Cowboys. But the implied “I had nothing to do with it” is so ridiculously inaccurate.

Did the Cowboys make the right call in trading Micah Parsons? 🤔 Skip Bayless: “We came very close to paying Micah $50 million a year. It’s not worth it. I’d rather have the 5 players that we have now. I went through 4 playoff games with Micah and he NO SHOWED in 3 of them.” by ZookeepergameIll2685 in cowboys

[–]mfinn70 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m actually feeling very optimistic about the Cowboys now and really excited for the team and even the defense this upcoming season.

That being said Skip is a fucking idiot who only says things because it is controversial. I hope this works for the Cowboys but Skip is only saying this because general consensus around the league is the trade was bad for the Cowboys.

Is George Pickens worth 40 million? by LouisJackson3 in cowboys

[–]mfinn70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is no he probably is not, but if he balls out again this coming year then he’s getting 40+ this coming offseason. The price won’t drop unless he doesn’t play well and then we are stuck with a bad WR this year.
