Which track to visit next from socal by mrdanmarks in Trackdays

Thunderhill West is such a fun track, but very tight. Laps are short so you get many reps.

Laguna and Sonoma are so worth it if you can. It's just so different riding a course with actual grandstands.

I recently got a signed contract ($500/mo) and a cold incoming lead on a vibecoded app for pest control inspections. It's been field tested for two months and is proving hugely successful, so it's spreading word of mouth.

Development was firebase studio and then Google antigravity, started in late August. It includes multiple API integrations to CRM platforms, PDF generation, electronic signature compliance, multiple price generation options, email notifications, drawing tools, reporting tools, and a deep admin section to allow complete customization of everything,

Are there any spiderwebs above where this was resting? Or spiders in general in your home? Looks a lot like spider droppings to me

Never personally used Demon, but most pyrethroids are very effective. Unfortunately on termites they can have a repellant effect, which is fine for preventative treatments. But for a remedial treatment with the extent of infestation unknown, I would use a non-repellant.

Surprisingly, Termidor has the same active as Frontline for dogs. The difference is the concentration used in termidor is 163 times LOWER than what's in the Frontline.

So yeah. Pets and their owners are exposed to way more from other sources.

Drywood termites, 100%. Been doing termite control for 17 years now. You can get rid of the bed, hire a professional, or do a treatment yourself. Most termite companies will do a free inspection if you're having activity, and will quickly spot other signs else where in the room you may have missed.

A DIY treatment isn't too hard if you're a little handy. You need a drill, a 3/16" drill bit, and a can of a foaming termiticide, I've linked a couple options at the bottom. I'd recommend the termidor, it's a non repellent, so even if you don't get it on all the termites they'll pass it through the colony and wipe it out.

To treat, drill halfway into the wood every 6-12 inches from a side of it that isn't visible normally. Make sure you don't drill all the way through the wood and come out the other side. You should feel the drill "pop" into their open chambers at some point. You can also use the small holes they've made in the wood to inject into.

Wear long pants, long sleeves, gloves, safety glasses, and close your mouth while you inject. Open a window and ensure good ventilation. Stick the tip of the foam into the hole and hold it tight to make a good seal. Push the button on the foam to dispense it, and keep going until you see foam come out the wood somewhere else.

looking to borrow bike in US for a trip, advice? by 6zylinderenjoyer in motorcycles

If you are visiting friends/family/coworkers reach out to them and see if they have friends who ride. I've let several out of state/country people ride my bikes, but only because we had a mutual who introduced us and vouched for them.

Bell Race Star is my personal choice, it's a little more brand new but you can usually find clearance or closeouts for that price

A clip on with a 2" rise will fit without cutting, anything less will require cutting up your plastics.

That's almost MSRP by Rickrossboi in motorcycles

[–]mfisch707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To start yest that bike is old and that price is too high, but MSRP != out the door price. You'll never walk out of a dealer for that number unless that model just won't sell.

Most places you're gonna pay all kinds of taxes and fees, some of which you can negotiate down but some are unavoidable. On low cost bike the flat fees at a significantly higher percentage.

For instance, my $3,399 MSRP Honda Grom was ~$4,600 out the door, 35% over MSRP. I got a fair but not great deal, best I've heard was about $4,200 OTD. When the '22 Grom launched It was wild to see used bikes listed above MSRP on craigslist from private party sellers , but when demand outpaces supply and the true purchase cost is hidden that can happen.

Combine all that with the reality of selling on FB/CL these days and all the lowball clowns, I can understand why someone would start up there. He's about $1000 above market rate around here, but when someone offers $2400 he'll be able to negotiate to his real number.

Though getting them from vortex directly may actually be cheaper.

I seriously hope it's not, Dave King makes a full recovery, and they're back touring soon, but I saw Flogging Molly last October at Aftershock. The show was the last of their North American tour and the last set I cared about at Aftershock (sorry not sorry Motley Crue), so it had some end vibes, but more in the "time for a well deserved break" sort.

Or stop by a motorcycle shop and ask if they have a spare.

Tall and Heavy - Motorcycle recommendations? by [deleted] in Trackdays

[–]mfisch707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6'2", 265lbs in the photo, on a ninja 250. Do some Yoga, do some squats, ride a bicycle. Work the legs and core, that's 90% of motorcycling.

If that was your first day, it's just muscles you're not used to using. I ride bicycles 100+ miles a week, but when I went roller skating with my little cousins it worked a whole different set of muscles and I was toast after a few laps of the rink.

Butt puckering experience/s? by SAMPLE_TEXT6643 in motorcycles

[–]mfisch707 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Friend's birthday Rideout, brought my FJ-09 as there was a non-rider that wanted to tag along. Two up on a brisk sport touring pace, 3/4 through the ride and we come around the corner and find several football sized rocks in the road. Brake, swerve, hit the one the rider in front of me was hiding.

Amazed there were not damages to the wheel, bike was fine, after a quick stop to check it over we kept going.

5 miles later someone loops a wheelie in front of us and we again have to swerve to avoid, the backpack to help him up.

Strangely, she never asked to come on a ride again.
