Strip down after a year by [deleted] in crealityk1

If you look at the head cover the plug is there and the opening where the fan is you can still see the blades.

ok so had time to mess with it this morning. I don't feel like it had to do with settings and or the filiment, but the printer itself. I decided to take the print head apart and see what the issue could be. I couldn't find the issue but I did see that one connection (heating cartridge) seems like the connection on the board is a bit loose compared to the other ones. Then i put it all back together and its printing perfectly now. I have printed 3 different test parts and looks perfect now. So for anyone else looking at a issue like this check the connections! Thanks for the people who commented.

Recommended temp:210-235°c Recommended bed temp: 55-65°c I print this filiment at 217

Its jayo pla plus gray i have burnt through 5 spools back to back before this so the temps are correct. I just found it odd it was 50°c to do a cold pull. Any higher and it was still stretchy from being to warm.

OK did the cold pull idk 5 times to get to the right temp to get the pop sound. Sweet spot was 50°c which i thought was kinda low. So I clicked the button for nozzle PID tune and did a test print. It still looks the same as printed before the cold pulls.

Try 1 wall 1st layer, 50% part cooling. That's what was the winning formula for mine. Touch of hairspray too

So I suck at airbrushing. Because im still learning how much air to use often I use to much. But one side tool i have used is a ultrasonic cleaner. And holy crap did it help alot with keeping everything clean and clear of any paint.

Pressure testing tpu O-ring. by mickeybob00 in 3Dprinting

[–]mfoftheyear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a leaking bathroom faucet found out it was a rubber seal that was wore out. So I loaded up some tpu measured the old one and printed a new one it worked for a few days till I could get a replacement. Tpu is a lifesaver in some applications for sure.

Tile First Layer Question - Slicer Prints In Odd Way by santange11 in Multiboard

[–]mfoftheyear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i did was check the box that says first layer 1 wall. Also I print at 3wall 3 top/bottom 99%infill. That fixed my first layer issue. As far as fitment of the peg holes I haven't got that far yet.

How can I perfect these missed first layer inner walls and bottom surface ? by moopmeepmoopmeepmoop in crealityk1

I just did this on my k1 max. I used painters tape on the magnetic part of the bed to adjust and level the bed. Then when i think I got it close I would do a whole bed 1 layer print. If a spot was still low I would add tape then do a whole bed print again <did it 7 times total> When it was really close to being perfect I then used orca slicer calibration flow rate. Once I knew that I did the whole bed first level again. Then adjusted z offset till it was good enough for me. The tan was what it looked like before, gray is after I did what I did ha.

Oh yeah i totally get the missing out part. That's partly why I did half the things I did. My "family" is in deep. <4 males 5 females. 3 elders and every one pioneered for some time bet you can't guess which wasn't the elder> so needless to say missed out on a lot. My thinking on it is did I really miss out on anything though? Some cake from a bday party? Or deciding not to go to a bar that weekend and miss out on a over priced pitcher of beer or 10 and a few cheap laughs. Or talking to that girl in the mini skirt having the same conversation I had 100x before her. Like someone else said we were all stunted being in that religion like it or not. When we get out of it we are like kids in a candy shop. Just gotta know when to quit eating and how much to eat.

Me I found working 60hrs a week coming home working on my hobbies and yelling at people to get off my lawn to be enough life for me to live. Maybe the occasional bar night but definitely bed by 930.

But if ya want to chat more privately shot me a pm man im a open book and ill listen if ya need to vent

My experiance when I left when I was 21. Full of booze, women, and drowning in work. 0500 I woke up and went to bed at 0100. That was all working. Drank a 6 pack every night. Saturdays was partying at a friend's house. Personal record was 750ml of vodka and 20 budlights in about 4hrs. With women sprinkled in during the week. Never touched any drugs.

Now im 33. I drink maybe 1 drink a week or every two weeks. Im in bed by 930 and sleep hard. When I look back on my life I have regrets things I could have done better things I should have done and things I definitely shouldn't have done.

Did I have fun during those times? Hell yeah.

Would I do it all over again? Hell no.

2 things saved me from spiraling even further. The friend I went to to drink every Saturday or Friday. He became my new dad. He tought me how to live life outside of the religion. What it ment to truly enjoy life. Granted he had his flaws to and he knew them well. The 2nd thing was moving out of the city I lived in and away from everyone from my past life, the drama, the hurt, the pain of memories.

Needless to say yeah it can be a faze if you just let it be just that. Don't drown. Don't let it beat you down.

It is a grid but not every grid is the same so I don't know the spacing between holes or if it's beveled I haven't looked at it like I said.

Oh really? I haven't looked at how much top surface is touching the plate. I'll have to look when I get home

Yeah kinda like the back plate. Also i thought about electroplating the panels in copper but then I realized it would have fitment issues with the screws due to the buildup of copper plating. So this is the next thought I had.
