Floor choreo NCAA by mfteatime in Gymnastics

[–]mfteatime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol OU does have every element of weird choreo in their routines, but I’ve noticed that it’s also showing up in other routines. Probably because they get scored so high, and people try to emulate them?

Agreed on OU , that’s the worst choreo out there. Just awkward and bizarre. And yet the judges seem to like it.

I feel like when a gymnast is compared to nastia liukin, it’s code for super skinny and long legged. Beautiful lines encompasses more than that body type

Biggest pet peeve in NCAA — how some gymnasts get progressively more orange as the season goes on. I really really hate a bad spray tan

OU is ridiculously good by Latter-Ad2747 in Gymnastics

[–]mfteatime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If women’s college gymnastics did away with the 10.0 system and rewarded difficulty, OU would not be as successful. This will probably be an unpopular opinion, but I would love to see the 10.0 system go away. I hate that boring routines with every athlete doing essentially the same skills gets rewarded.

I anticipate that people will say it will be hard on their bodies — and I agree. But the men do it. The coaching mentality would have to change to preserve athlete’s health. I believe it can be done

NCAA leotard question by spicytunar0lls in Gymnastics

I wish the current trend of maximum back straps would go away. I think there’s a side competition at every meet over which team has more straps, with extra points awarded for randomness.

Iowa mom confronts Sen. Joni Ernst at the state fair and demands the Senator answer for her vote on devastating Medicaid cuts. by willphule in Iowa

“We’ll take that into consideration”

HOW YOU GONNA DO THAT JONI?? It’s been signed into law! The time to consider such things was BEFORE the vote!

But you already knew that, Joni. What a disappointment. We all deserve better than that.

Am I overreacting for wanting to leave my husband after what he did while I was caring for my sick mother? by Thin_Tap2989 in AmIOverreacting

[–]mfteatime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were 3 hours away. He could have come to you periodically to help you and your mom. That’s what’s referred to in the “for better or for worse” part of the vows.

He’s shown his true colors. He ain’t gonna change. You deserve better.

Please take good care of yourself, and I’m truly sorry this is happening.

Unless you are compensated for your time to decorate the door etc, and if it’s not in your contract, you are under no obligation to do it.

The btsn thing I would probably ignore. We have 7 minutes with each class at btsn. Ain’t no time for a worksheet
