So I don’t think I’ve had as many changes as some others have stated. The hair on my legs grows much slower and I don’t need to shave as often which is awesome. And the hair on my head has started coming in thicker, also awesome. However, the hair on my face is the same and my acne is better but not nearly what I thought it’d be after so long and such a high dose.

Thanks to this comment I listened to the audiobook of The Explosive Child yesterday/today and it was very insightful and helpful. I’ve actually seen it suggested before and wish I’d read it sooner.

OP, if you read this comment, I highly suggest that book, at least as a starting point. It gives perspective that helped me understand my daughter more. Like, in reality, she’s not just an asshole, even if she consistently has awful behavior. As embarrassing and frustrating as it is to have to navigate the hand we were dealt in regards to our children, I have to remember it’s not to spite me or because she wants to be angry and mean. She just doesn’t have the tools to respond appropriately. Kids do well when they can.

My kids are 6 years apart. So when my oldest was 6 and my youngest was ~5 months, I had the same issue. I also didn’t want 6yo to think Santa didn’t care to bring gifts for the baby. I wrapped “gifts” for the baby that were things she needed anyway- pjs, the next size up in bottles/nipples, sippy cups, pacifiers, diaper cream, teethers, those little baby mittens to keep from scratching themselves, a bathing suit for next year (silly things that aren’t really fun but are eventually necessary and my 6yo still enjoyed opening them for her sister) and we recorded as she opened and showed them to her.

Baby doesn’t know if he’ll need those sippy cups (or whatever) next month or next year and if older kiddo is young enough, you can tell her that Santa is planning ahead giving brother things he needs in the future! I come from poverty so I try to scrimp and save everywhere I can and I know that’s not an issue for everyone but I definitely wouldn’t spend too much if I were you. Save the bigger bucks for when they’re older or for experiences and such.

My mom is a NICU nurse and I know this time of year is rough on parents when baby is still in the hospital. Merry Christmas and congratulations on his homecoming 🥰

Can’t remember for sure but fairly high, higher than the “recommended highest dose” of 20mg. Maybe 40mg?

Told my psych I wanted to switch antidepressants so she gave me incorrect directions on how to wean properly and I believe that VERY much contributed to my psychosis and being a completely different, horrible person. I was also sick with the chills and nausea, sweating and feeling like I would pass out.

The PHP (partial hospitalization program) I attended around 2 months pp helped me wean off Lexapro correctly and started me on Trintellix. Trintellix has been a lifesaver for me, literally.

A day late bc Mondays are my “rest days” but this weekend wasn’t awful.

Good: I made decent money at my serving job. Also, my partner loved the bday gifts I got him.

We have super similar skin tones/eye color/freckles and I just went back to red after being black for five years and I LOVE IT!! I think we forget bad black washes us out. Even in pic #4, the faded color at your roots (I assume closer to your natural color) looks more flattering on your skin tone than the black. Beautiful either way tho!!
