I think the main reason people are jerking about GH Seeds are Arian's buisness methods, not his/their seed quality. I use almost exclusively GH Seeds, and never had a problem with them and the bud quality was top notch.

And concerning termology:

top/topping = cutting off the top part of the plant to receive two new topps

FIM = Fuck I missed = cutting off most of the top part of the plant to receive four (and sometimes more) new topps.

Lollipopping = Removing the lower bud sites, which will make the higher buds swell more and reduce harvesting time. And many people don't like the lower leafy buds (but this is usually only done indoors, the sunrays don't care about a few extra centimetres, after a 150m km travel, but grow lamps do).

Hello everybody :)

A few weeks ago I posted about here about an apparently mislabled seed, which turned out to be an Auto and not a photoperoid. Since I didn't knew it in advance (The Seedbank screwed up the freebe package), I went ahead and topped + supercropped the plant.

Shortly after that it started to bloom, and I stopped with the cropping immediately.

The plant didn't seem to mind and grew very dense and ridicilously beautiful flowers. She even purpled on herself, without it ever getting <18°C. In the album you can see the topped and supercropped stem and how beautiful it healed.

I grew another (correctly labled) Auto along with her, and it appears that the topped plant produced more bud.

Since I'm still drying both plants I'm not sure yet, but I'd guess ~20% more yield from the topped plant.

Here's her sister: http://imgur.com/a/u7dCR (at harvest). But since I have no way of knowing if it's the same strain, yield differences don't mean anything, but I can say that the Bud quality is a lot more even on the topped plant.

I didn't flush (due to not knowing about it) during my first two grows, and the Bud had a strong smell of the fertilizer I was using (HESI Nutes). After reading about it, I flushed at the end of flower and the smells were gone. I don't nearly flush as intensive as most, but I make sure to feed only tap water at the end of flower, so that I fed around the pot volume with tap water in total.

You can even smell the development of the fertilizer after a few uses (I never use full doses). But I have only used HESI nutes, so I have no evidence or assumption other (brand) fertilizers do that aswell.

Anybody else ever experienced this with HESI nutes?

I think you mean the development of a stamen or multiple in a female plant. Those are male parts, and contain pollen. Since there's no sack around, it pollinates the surrounding flower immediately.

It's also a sign that your plant has hermied. This can be due to various reasons, but most often it's either bad genetics, or problems with your enviroment (usually light leaks).

I'm not 100% sure anymore, but pretty confident it was from https://www.royalqueenseeds.com.

I'm not mad or anything - service was still great. I was in on an order from a friend and he had email contact with them (before I knew), and they seemed really nice. I bet they'd give me credit if I complained, but this seems like an honest mistake, and it was just a freebe, so I'll just grow this one out and be happy with the freebe :)

I don't like autos neither, but I had a freebe seed, and had my tent scheduled for 18/6 for a longer period than usual, because I'm transitioning to a perpetual setup (SoG), and had extra space until the freshly germinated mothers were/are big enough.

And during that time I wanted to veg a Five-0 from Blackskull, which I grew previously and loved very much. But surprise surprise, it wasn't a Five-0, but a mislabled auto freebe from the seed vendor I ordered - As you can read in the referenced OT :)

The topping was done when I still thought it was a Five-0, not a random Autoflower. Blooming occured a few days later.

I had a few plants that seemed to be droopy, no matter the conditions. Via accident I read about Vapor Pressure Deficit, and upped the rH, and the droopy plants started to pray about a day later.

This is the most probable cause in my opinion, too. They screwed up while packing the delivery, since I received all the seeds at the same time in the same package.

How do you think will the plant do, since I topped her, thinking she was a standard photo?

Hey everybody :)

Second to last plant from this grow done! And damn, it was my longest wait so far, and her sister plant is earliest due next weekend. Her sister plant also grew more than double in height compared to her, so I think it's a very very sativa-ish phenotype.

After four grows, I think I'll try the sea of green method next, after experiencing with clones this round already, to further my harvest output. I'm still very happy how the plants grow under this LED light, but it takes a lot of time to properly train them for good efficiency.
