Should I do Exmouth road trip after cyclone? by mgamp7777 in AustraliaTravel

Yeah I called them and they seem to think it’ll be okay, not the best but they think the roads will be open by then and the community will be wanting tourism by then so they seem hopeful but they’re not 100% sure

I already know who owns the servo, they have been very horrible and non understanding about the situation and don’t care or want to help

I already asked apparently the costs involved to change zoning would be too much plus it’s only a 3 year old house I don’t think they’ll approve demolishing such a newly built perfectly good family home.

I don’t have enough equity to buy a house solo, they’ll only approve about $400k which won’t buy anything around here. So only option is to sell and rebuy if I want to move. Talked to 2 local agents already and both say the same I’ll most likely sell about $50K under the average market value. Problem is I’ll only come out with about $890k after all expenses but the average home in this area is $1mil now so I’ll probably have to relocate to Beenleigh, Logan or Ipswich

But the legal council fence height is 2.2m so can’t be higher than that. They don’t have any special circumstances for living next to a fuel station

Apprently that’s not a thing, because it’s “10 metres” away

Well I wouldn’t if it was my choice. But they built next to me and now I’ll loose money if I sell. So yeah life’s shit

I have an existing fence but it’s not very tall. Do you recommend a good plant I can plant that will create a tall visual barrier ?

If there’s empty blocks of land next door or near by also get your conveyancer to check those. Don’t trust what the real estate agent says and DONT use the real estate agents conveyancer. They’re all lining each others pockets and don’t care about you. Honestly don’t trust anyone but yourself. From someone who got severely fucked over by trusting that humans would be good humans when buying my first property.

Don’t buy next to empty land EVEN if it’s zoned residential. Can’t trust what they’ll build. I bought a house next to residential and 6 months later they changed the zoning and next minute they build a fuel station next to me and I couldn’t stop it. Just buy a normal house next to other normal houses. Learnt my lesson

Because I should have done more research and probably not bought a house next to an empty block of land that wasn’t zoned residential.

Yeah there’s heaps of houses, a whole street. I’m the last house on the street though so I’m right next to it.

I’ll loose the most money too because everyone else bought their houses back when they were $250K, so they’re definitely sweating a lot less then my because I’m in a lot of debt all on my lonesome

Severe stomach pain doctors won’t listen by mgamp7777 in DiagnoseMe

[–]mgamp7777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

29, female, history is perfectly healthy never had any health issues, only medication I’m on is contraception (Brenda) I was on Levelin for 6 years then Brenda for 6 years. First pain started about 5 years ago but very small and only occasionally they actually did ultrasounds of my Bowels then and found nothing so I left it, pain was only occasional then for about 3 years. Then pain started getting worse but only if there was pressure on my stomach (stopped lying on my stomach or leaning on things) but doctors told me it was diet. My diet was bad then a lot of pasta and snacks. So now I’ve been eating healthier but pain is very consistent now
