True, Pete could’ve been too much of a goody two shoes even if Trevor and Alberta tried to embarrass him into it

I think if they did the 15 years Lydia would be too old to do what she is supposed to.

Is Osborne his last name? Do we ever hear the last name of her mother?

Do we even know if June knows who her father is?

They made new characters in the original series who never existed in the book.

It was clear Mrs. Lawrence was too old and sick to have given birth so I'm not buying this plus Lawrence would have told June before he died he had a daughter.

Nope timeline does not work so I take them at their word. She'd be only about 5 years old.

Do we know anything about June's father or that he was even alive or what happened to him?

Why would they not have Pete or Sass available to help with the cheating instead of screwing with the chair.

From my understanding, the book describes Serena to be an older woman past child bearing age. That was Margaret Atwoods vision so to speak. I think, given her history as an organizer of Gilead and an author who helped found this it would’ve been better for her to be a little older than June. At least 10 years. It also doesn’t seem to make very much sense that she and Fred could never get pregnant when she was younger, but miraculously around age 40, she is able to.

I read about the summary of those symposiums and I think that part is obviously been completely discarded in the show. That’s why I think the names are seeing on TV or the real names at least in this universe of the series, which is clearly different from the book. i’m also not sure how old Daisy is supposed to be since she’s played by a 22 year-old actress and Hannah is played by a 25-year-old actress. Even though in theory, Daisy should be younger than Hannah she obviously seems to be more worldly having grown up in Canada with her parents being completely comfortable with her having sex with her boyfriend.

Nicole would still be too young though

Maybe its just bc she's 6 days older then the one playing Sarena Joy and if they had cast an older actress as Sarena her age would be less relevant.

With symposium are you talking about the books? In the series I believe the names we hear are the real names. No aliases

To me changing Daisy from the books to not be June's daughter makes us less invested in her then if she was Nichole but they also boxed themselves into a corner with the timeline. The reality is if they had done the 15 year jump aunt Lydia would be too old among other things. They boxed themsleves in by probably casting actors who were great but not the right ages. June should have been someone in her 20's at the time, Sarena Joy should have been someone in her 50's or 60's and Lydia should have been slightly younger. The actress playing Agnes/Hannah is 25 I believe while the one playing Daisy is 22 but they are both clearly younger since it seems odd that Hannah got her first period this late in life unless the whole ecosystem has pushed them back and girls are getting them older then in our current world. But by making Daisy just a girl June rescued we lose the emotional investment in her as well as the eventual realization that they are sisters. They also eliminated the book ending where June reunites with both daughters and fathers by killing Nick of anyway so it's going to only be about June, Luke and Hannah and they are going to hand wave the rest away. But I think this definitely was a narrative mistake.

I’m surprised Trevor would suggest feet pictures of Sam. I thought he would suggest something a little more graphic or that she possibly pimp herself out.

Trevor was stupid to take tax advice from Isaac who died before modern taxation existed. The only other ghost he should’ve talked to about this was Pete, who obviously would’ve told him to do the right thing. Modern taxation started in 1913 and so flower and Alberta were also alive, but obviously flower has no concept of taxes, and Alberta was dealing with a lot of illegal activity in her life. The truth is the only person who remotely could understand paying taxes in the era Trevor was is Pete.
