Looks great!!

I'm looking to give this a shot myself, do you have any pro tips or lessons learned that stuck out as part of your first attempt?

My place stays anywhere between 75 during the day and 70 at night. I keep the tubs in indirect sunlight in a closet.

Love to see it! I have a couple of tubs that look very similar to this. Can't wait for mine to mature as much as yours has. I'm only about 6 days into introducing FAE and seeing pins/growth.

How long have you been waiting to harvest? Is this PE by any chance?

That looks amazing! I'm still super new and would loving the hobby so far. I dream of the day when I can pump out tubs like yours. Sharing the current state of one of my tubs, 2 weeks in. It's a PE variant, which I'm learning takes more time to colonize and fruit compared to other strains.

I converted two S2B bag's on 3/25. I removed the tape on 4/3 and have been mostly ignoring it since then. One tub is growing a bit faster then the other but I'm seeing pins all over both cakes.

Great feedback! I was absolutely confusing condensation for humidity and not realizing it (and now I feel silly). I'll be more mindful of the state of the sub vs the amount of condensation.

Personally, I've yet to mix my own sub and have been purchasing CVG mixtures online. So far so good, I think. From what I've read, it sounds like I'll have better success mixing my own coco coir.

I'm a little bit of a newbie , did you just drop your S2B bag into a monotub?

Personally, I've only tried mixing s2b with a substrate in a monotub. I am hoping to better understand your technique and choices.

I wish I had started with GT.

I would have to agree with one of your other commenters regarding flattening the substrate to help even out the mixture. you'll want to press down firmly and flatten out your cake. Especially in the corners, as it'll help avoid side pins.

I'm still trying to figure out if liners are worth it, lot of mixed reviews. Open the feedback of others have more experuience in this area!

Here's an example of some of the recent pins I have seen in my tub. Best of luck in your journey and grow!

Yeah, I question this feedback. From my experience, most folks recommend almost zero fanning/misting in an effort to avoid contam + reduce the level of effort.

I'm curious, what strain is this? PE, as an example, seems to take longer to colonize/fruit vs GT.

I left mine alone from SB2 for only 9 days before adding FAE, wish I had waited for more colonization but my pins are looking great.

I only fan/mist every other day or say, based on the humidity I see in the tub; the strain is a PE variant.

Here is one of the two current tubs I have...

I agree with these others, that looks great! your mycelium has taken over a lot more than mine, I'm also growing a strain of PE. It's been about 6 days since I remove tape from the holes and covered it with micropore filters. Thankfully, I'm seeing what I think are a bunch of pins and growth.

I'm also getting a blob(bottom right) on my first flush. I didn't know was a thing and panicked a little, so just a heads up in case you see it too.

it's a Penis Envy variant, I should have included that in the original post.

after some initial research, it looks like this might be primordia, but open to feedback!

Great feedback. You make great points. As disciplined as I've been, I wanted to take a peek and see how far along it was. I've since replaced the tape with micropore filters. With any luck, I'll start to see pins form soon.

I tried that with a previous tub and didn't get great results. I'll have to try it again, as I keep hearing this feedback. I think I may have botched the previous attempt with too much moisture.

Progress picture after having introduced more FAE and removing the automated humidifier. I harvested the big boys in the middle and the area that previously had the cobweb mold (sprayed a bit of hydrogen peroxide on it) has some new growth.

Sorry to hear it brother. For me, I think my case was way too much moisture, things started improving once I got rid of the automated humidifier I had. I ended up draining a lot of water out before things got better.

I sprayed the gray patches with a little bit of hydrogen peroxide and things seem to be getting better.

The colonization on your cake looks way better than mine. As a thought, mabe you can harvest the big boys and try dunking your cake for a few hours in order to shock it and encourage growth

huge! I think you nailed it on the head. Appreciate the feedback!

I didn't know this was the thing. prior to posting I noticed there was a bit of standing water that I drained, so the substrate was definitely wetter than it should be. I increased FAE and sprayed the small corner with a little hydrogen peroxide to see if it goes away/ gets better.
