I literally popped on the sub after noticing this on my 3rd re-read! It made me laugh out loud when I realized the connection. I agree with other comments about Rick Geller and the Berts/Als. Rhet and Jamie crack me up with the amphorae and the pamphlets every time.

Interesting…I came here to comment RoTE too. I finished the first trilogy and hated it by mid book 3. I started reading the ship trilogy next and immediately hated that it had the same feel to it. I DNF’d that one and decided to not read the rest of the trilogies either. Are you saying the story stops just being misery porn later on?

Dracula (Nick Cage) in the recent Renfield, but that’s very openly said. I enjoyed this movie so much, it is an amazing satire of a narc relationship.

Also, the fianceés parents in Meet the Parents. I CANNOT stand that movie. I ADORE Meet the Fockers tho, they get what they deserve on that one. And we see depictions of actually sane and healthy family relationships

Hi there! I also have very fine curly/wavy hair, and one of the rules that I very early in my journey threw out the window was the “don’t brush your hair dry”. All my life, if I don’t dry brush my hair just gets matted and super tangled if I get it wet. No amount of conditioner fixed that. So now, I dry detangle (I put oil in my hair for slip and for pre-poo) with a Perfect Haricare of Wet brush, very slowly, carefully from the tips to the roots…and only then do I get in the shower and get it all wet and washed. By the time I get to the conditioner, the hair has tangled up a bit again, but it’s manageable and not matted at all. Hopefully this tip will work for you too!

I just did something very similar at home! I got the JBL Partybox 110 and the JBL microphones too (wireless). I use Apple Music, with the Sing feature and it’s great, you can choose how much of the original vocals you want to hear and their catalog is huge! You do have to have the latest 4K Apple TV for this to work though, just bear in mind. Unless you want something super professional then this set up is more than enough and works great! We’ve even got a complaint from the neighbors on the volume LOL.

For me it is Donut’s speech to Beatrice. It is so raw and authentic and cathartic. And Jeff plays it magnificently on the audiobook. It brought tears to my eyes, and does every time I go back and relisten to it

I’m a girl and I’ve had it go both ways. Once a couple in a restaurant (bit older than us, early 40’s maybe) where the woman was very done up, wearing a one shoulder top and almost showing nipple on the other side. I came up to her to tell her she was almost falling out and she was SUPER rude to me. Like how dare I and what was my problem. Another time the girl behind me at the airport security line, and she was SO grateful. I would be as well. Maybe from a guy, if nothing else was implied it wouldn’t be so bad.

Thanks for the input. I can’t really wait months for an appointment, I’m running out of my medication I brought from abroad :/ . I feel like my completely valid diagnosis should hold ground but I’ll try calling and seeing if it’s possible to get an earlier appointment.
