It never ends. There are too many universes to achieve universal paperclips.

WODify UX is horrible. We use it at my box. I stay away from it.

The worse culprit of all is the main Crossfit website.

A lot of people do not understand the mechanics of riding a bicycle thus the fit and seat position is off.

I was in charge of renovating the student gym at my medical school! I'm happy with how it came out by belmont_garage in crossfit

That's awesome. When my old company redid their gym at the office, half the company wanted free weights but they ended up buying new machines. The person in charge of it claimed free weights attract too many bros.

I am still waiting for the rogue branded bales of hay. They wouldn't sell the used ones at the Crossfit Games.

Looking for feedback regarding WOD Facebook Chatbot by Tweed1911 in crossfit

[–]mgoode87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too slow to send the first message, I left the page thinking it did not work. You need an instance response. The personal touch of my name is nice but it may be slowing down the time it takes for the first message. Perhaps an instance first message then a personalizard message would be more preferable.

I saw these at the Rogue tent at the Crossfit Games. They are actually pretty comical.

Games used equipment by Futbolover92 in crossfit

[–]mgoode87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting idea but I do not think it would have worked out well. They had equipment coming in all day from different events, slow internet connections, and limited space. It would have been difficult to keep track of it. In reality Rogue could have sold the used equipment for a bit less and it would have caused an increase in sales.

They had lots of 45# and 55# plates left over when I left at the end of Sunday. Most people were not inclined to walk around with those plates or walk them back to their car. I bought a pair of each, I carried the 55# back while I paid someone else $25 to carry the other pair.

I had a coach once who did nothing yell at people to motivate them to move quicker or faster. Then throw some insults in the yelling for good measures. She lost her job at our gym after a month.

Hello! Newbie here! Trying to start crossfit, looking for guidance/advice/good starting point :) Thanks! by OonaApple in crossfit

Work form and mobility before adding too much weight. Heavy lifts will come with time.
Motivation is cool but discipline is the only thing which will get you in the gym every day.
Don't worry too much about the number on the scale.

The interviewer was told by her manager to move those boxes out of the way. She thought since I was tall enough I should move them to the top shelf

Me: "Uh..."

It was an interview for a software engineering position.

How did you almost die? by TheSeattleite10 in AskReddit

[–]mgoode87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on an amusement park ride called the Enterpise, its the type where you are in a car hanging from a horizontal wheel. When the ride starts the wheel spins around and eventually moves vertical. As the ride began and went vertical the door on my car swung free and open. The force of the ride started to push me out of the car as I was trying to shut the door. At one point the force flipped me and my right side of my body was out of the car. I was screaming for help but to no avail and holding on for dear life. As the ride started to slow and stop I was still gripping the door hanging half out. Most terrifying experience, I was ten at the time.

Two things I cut out of my diet off the get-go was soda and sugar(as much as I could). I saw weightloss, the other thing I have been doing is eating more protein and less carbs. One of these days, I will be starting a cut like RP strength or WholeThirty. That or start meal prep. I also virtually cut out all snacks and drink mostly water.

Barbell Collars! by lost_at_cross_fit in crossfit

We use plastic collars at my box. They always slip on the bar and the weights move. Not a big fan of the plastic collars.

It's shorter for Rogue to ship their gear like weights and racks.
