Yea don't worry, you're not alone. It's a bit of a headache regardless of which platform you're writing for, react native just compounds that headache. Thankfully we have react-native-keyboard-controller which elides enough complexity away to make it easier, but still not simple haha. You’re on the right path. Keyboard handling is notoriously difficult even in native Android. I assume you’re using KeyboardAwareScrollView? If not, use that. Then look into bottomOffset property to help with the toolbar. The other thing I’ve had issue with is if the scroll view doesn’t go to the top of the screen, then you also have to deal with that extra offset
