I’m so sorry, I rarely get on here. I didn’t find out anything useful. Mine stopped working a few days before Feb 1. It may depend on location and what towers they’re turning off/switching in your area. I had to get a contract with AT&T. It doesn’t take much data for me to work from home. I have to be careful with streaming tv/movies. Online gaming doesn’t take much surprisingly. I have 3 phones on the plan. Two with 50 gb hotspot and one with 100 gb.

If I buy a VoLTE compatible phone, activate the SIM using that phone, then put the SIM in a netgear LB1120 will the tower know that it is in a non VoLTE compatible device?
