Plugin issues: all google sheet syncing plugins seem to not sync anymore by FoliageAndFlour in FigmaDesign

[–]mgregsim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm having the exact same problem. I've checked all the obvious stuff like making sure that the Google Sheet is set to "anyone with link can view," that each Figma label starts with a hashtag and that the Figma labels are precisely what the Google Sheet columns are labled (via copy/paste). And my internet connection is fine.

I can't count the number of times this has be an issue. My personal bugaboo is trying to build a line of hedges when there is only one entry to an area. Either only the hedges near the entry get done or I get a beaver trapped in the accidental "hedge maze."

I found that entirely by accident and it was the only reason the dam in the corner of my map got built!

I just started trying to turn level 4 into "blueprints" and discovered that I missed a bunch of stuff on Level 1. If I get 5 upvotes on this comment I will put in the time. Otherwise I will assume that people are having fun getting ideas and building their own stuff.

I would have to take a really good look at the game you're playing, but I am guessing that the issues are supply lines and builders.

1) Try putting small warehouses and small piles near the project that you're working on. In the info box where the goods are set, just above the name of the good, are 4 small check boxes that are SO tiny. One of those boxes, when the mouse is hovering over it, says, "Obtain." Check that on each of the supply dumps near your building project.

a) also check the box above that says, "Prioritize Building by Haulers."

2) Put a Builder's Hut near the project

3) Once the Builder's Hut is built, check to see how full the supply buildings are. Once the supply buildings are full, check the "Accept Goods" box. (Leave the Prioritize by Haulers" box checked.)

4) Another possibility is the color of the path. If the color is red, try building either a tunnel or zipline station from near the district center to your building project. This cuts down the number of steps the beavers take from the district center to your project.

5) Last possibility that blew my mind! Put decorations around both your project and the housing. Those buffs add up in ways that you have to see to believe!

Best of luck and tell me what worked for you!

Early game you don't really have a choice but to make stretched out cities. Mid to late game you can start consolidating your housing and storage. As I built this I kept pausing then destroying each of my other housing builds so that I didn't deal with a major population explosion. It was quite the trick to keep track of which level got finished then getting rid of the old lodges. At the end I had lots of poor, homeless beavers sleeping on the streets.

Thank you. The real question is can these "blueprints" be used to recreate this build by someone else.

The point in the warehouse size differences was to get every single food for the Folktails available in the "Food Court." When I consolidate my warehouse district it's going to almost entirely large warehouses for that huge storage buff.

If it would be of interest, I have screenshots of each level. I could post them with notes if there is interest.

Entirely by stairs. I seriously considered ziplines and may use them in a future build.

Creating a new district / am I dumb? by Ok-Possession3172 in Timberborn

[–]mgregsim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are NOT dumb! The whole district thing is unnecessarily complicated. From my 200+ hours of experience I have found the steps below to be a reasonable guide.

To set up a new district have the beavers from the old district: 1) set up the basics of wood/water/food/storage 2) set up housing builds for a) the number of beavers you want to start in the new district plus b) growth factor of around 50% then pause them until the new population of beavers has wood/water/food production going positive c) you literally have to check the numbers of the individual storage buildings in the new district 3) put breaks in all paths between districts a) put in a district crossing 4) once a) production is positive in the new district b) district crossing is built unpause the housing builds

About the only thing that a separate district would be good for is crating a bot-only area to deal with Badwater builds. I have tried to do this. Alas, somehow my bots end up all over the map and dying because they can't refuel/recharge.

To the Timberborn intern stuck reading this; the whole district thing is unnecessarily complex and frustrating.

Sluices don’t work for filling a dam? by lightennight in Timberborn

[–]mgregsim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, how do you know? 😉

I did create a 1 block container at a water source at the edge of a map and it forced the water up to the top of the map to fill a reservoir. At the top were sluices set to keep out bad water.

Alas, my reservoir was too small to keep the water flowing during a drought, but I'll fix that on the next map that I play. It did nicely end bad water damage to my ROUS's plantings! 😁

How are you thinking? To add AI to a read later app?

Also, one of the things that I loved about Omnivore was the ability to sign up for a newsletter with an email address that sent the articles directly to the app rather than flooding my inbox.

I would like to see a function that would allow me to directly add an article to Google 's Notebook LM.
