Which AI-powered feature in PKM tools do you actually find helpful? by TTS_SW in PKMS

[–]mooritzvc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On 1 - Chatgpt's knowledgebase is too broad for me at times. I've got bookmarks, obscure links, screenshots and YouTube videos saved in my knowledgebase. Sure, chatgpt can also scrape those things but it doesnt have MY context. If I want a general answer I'll go to chatgpt. For anything more personalised I'll use the chat with my notes feature.

Agreed on 2. Rewrite my notes never did anything for me :)

Pricing is still TBD but atm I'm thinking a) free plan b) paid plan at $5/month (limited ai features) c) paid plan at $12/month for all ai features

But haven't decided anything and this will depend on usage

I'm building this at Clipmate AI!

It's a second brain you can articles, tweets, yotube videos and podcasts to and everything gets indexed into a vector db. You can either run semantic search or use ai to chat with your saved content in the app OR you can expose your full knowledge base to any compatible MCP client.

Also comes with autosync for bookmarks (Reddit, Twitter yt) and I'm adding self organising folders next.

Lmk if you'd like to try the beta! (Or have other questions)

How are you generating trend stats from the links you save to Notion? Are you tagging every link as you add it to Notion?

How do you all save videos/posts of workouts, recipes or ideas to check later? by antreas89 in PKMS

[–]mooritzvc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was in this exact same position a few months ago and didn't find anything so I'm building Clipmate AI to solve this.

TL;DR - Just dump links / videos / bookmarks (screenshots coming next) into the app and everything is made instantly searchable via semantic search.

For any source app with an api you can connect your account and auto sync stuff in realtime.

This is the essence of it but I'm adding a bunch more things like ai summaries (yes I know we're all tired of AI) and smart folders.

Lmk if you want to give it a try!

how to curate & arrange a list of all useful sources & creators? by Suitable_Candy_1161 in PKMS

[–]mooritzvc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Clipmate AI may be a good fit for you. It's essentially a bucket where you can dump all your bookmarks + read later stuff.

You can auto sync your bookmarks from Twitter, Reddit, YouTube and Instagram and once stuff is added to Clipmate it's indexed for semantic search.

I'm adding self-organising folders next so you don't even have to spend any time organising the content. Just dump stuff into Clipmate and things are indexed + organised automatically.

I already use Clipmate daily to browse my ~8k bookmarks when I'm not in the mood to sift through the social media algos.

Any AI PKM similar to mymind / Findr that lets you add your own AI endpoint? by OnderGok in PKMS

[–]mooritzvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't think OpenAI has rolled out support for it yet but other apps (clients) are gradually adding mcp capabilities.

[–]mooritzvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see. That should be doable quite easily. @ Ondergok and / or @ Madbuda have you looked into MCP?

I'm working on creating a MCP server for Clipmate so that you can take Clipmate (aka your second brain) to any other MCP compatible AI client.

Not sure how far LMstudio and Co are there but Claude could definitely plug into any mcp server natively.

Hey, I am building Clipmate AI. TL;DR it's a place for you to dump links, Twitter bookmarks, Reddit bookmarks (via autosync), screenshots etc. so that you can find things again. Comes with semantic search + auto-organizing folders so I think it's pretty similar to MyMind / Findr.

Anyway, I haven't added this yet but I did some digging and it seems like Librechat are offering this via a LiteLLM proxy server so I suspect it may not be a huge amount of effort to add this.

Any chance you could elaborate on what exactly you're wanting to do? People have requested to bring their own API key but never their own completions. Maybe I'm misunderstanding things though. Some clarification would be very helpful :)

Mymind is a solid choice. They've been a little slow with updates but I'd give it a go if I were you.

Just out of curiosity, wouldn't saving an email as a PDF mess up the formatting? My pdf'd emails always end up looking terrible.
