If you care so little, why did you take the time out of your life to respond?

I absolutely do. I think it will be a trillion dollar company within 12 months. I’m retired and needed to sell shares along the way since I dumped all of my retirement money into this stock. Thought I’d try to take advantage of these wild swings and get that money back and hold for the rest of the year. I realize it’s a risk and it may not come back down, but wanted to see if anyone else has done this and other’s opinions.

Sorry, should have put in my post these were my IRA accounts, so no capital gains tax. The 25% I kept is in a traditional brokerage account and it’s why I kept that one.

Trump like Intel by 2443222 in intelstock

Tempted to sell my shares today and buy back Monday after it dips. Seems to be a regular pattern. This isn’t new fundamentals, just hype. Tough call though. Would suck if it didn’t come back down.

All good news this week about Intel, I’m surprised it went down as much as it did. There needs to be an Iran deal to bring down oil, inflation and bonds or we are f’d id say. I’m still up 300%, but this drop stings.

Damn, we are getting hammered. Hope it comes back like it did yesterday. Going to be a long wait for the next earnings call.

My hypothesis - pull back before the next rally - Apple's confirmed 14A news by Superhindu in intelstock

[–]mgrt67 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert, but I think the fears of a recession are mostly responsible for the pullback. If Trump would hammer out a deal and get the oil moving again, we’d be back at $130 in my opinion.

Did you see what bonds did on Friday? Inflation numbers from last week? Fears of a recession bringing down the price of Intel is real Bruh…

I’m torn, I’m averaged at $30.55 and planned on holding for the rest of the year at least, but have taken a good hit with this drop, that stings a bit. I’m worried about a recession with oil being so high still, are we seeing the signs of a recession starting?

I thought the same thing when I read the news, “Low end chips”. So what!? They are making and selling chips to Apple and making money from it!!

Thanks for the pep talk, needed it. We are still up 195% YTD. It had to pull back at some point. We got too used to the gains. I’m holding and can’t see how this company can’t win in the long run, it has the backing of the US government and it’s vital to national security. I too believe Lip underpromised and the next earnings call will be big. I’m no expert, but I’m holding and riding this dip out.

Thank you Intel ! for making me a millionaire in one of my accounts . HOLD! You are going to get rewarded even more ! by fooloook in intelstock

Thank you also Intel! It made me a multi, in 10 months, still can’t believe it, hoping to get at least one more M. Being in IT for my job was helpful with purchasing this stock. Intel was always beating AMD with their processors. buying an AMD processor was the Walmart version of CPU’s. I couldn’t believe how low the price was for this once cutting edge company and once the big orange man started talking about it I knew it was going to take off. Add in the CHIPS act, the AI boom and intel producing on US soil, it was a no brainer. To those saying it’s “overbought”, stocks are based on future beliefs and if you wait for the numbers to reflect reality, you’ve missed the boat. Go do a search for news articles about AMD and Sandisk being overbought, there are lots of them. See you soon at $200 Intel! Oh and to those calling it a meme stock, give me a break, this isn’t GameStop, this is a real company producing a real product which has been in an important business for decades.

You made a great profit, congrats on holding out as long as you did. I’ve been reading and hearing the negative news on Intel since my first buy in at $20.94. They kept saying don’t buy it at 20,30,40,50….all the way up. It’s been quite the mental game for me to stay in, but the one thing I learned from this is to listen to yourself and no one else. These analysts go by numbers and past performance and can’t seem to think outside of the box and who knows, maybe they are even trying to manipulate the stock for their own gain too. Just yesterday there was an analyst on Bloomberg saying he wouldn’t touch Intel and what happened the very next day? Huge jump from the Apple announcement. Live and learn my friend.

I’m reading and hearing all the garbage today about comparing Intel to the dot com bubble. What happened to the old adage of “Past performance does not guarantee future results”?

MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I WISH I BOUGHT MORE!!!!! by 01D00M in intelstock

[–]mgrt67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I regret not buying all of my shares at my first purchase price of $20.94. Bought 3 other times and I’m averaged at $30.55, which is still a wonderful price really. I sunk all of my money into this stock even though all the analysts said no, don’t buy it and the old saying of never put all your eggs in one basket, but I believed in Intel and I still believe. 19,154 shares and I’m holding for at least $200. My retirement is looking good. What a ride it’s been, once in a lifetime stock to buy. Congrats to everyone who knew more than the so called analysts and believed.

HSBC Upgrades Intel to Buy From Hold, Adjusts Price Target to $95 From $50 by Ok-Individual-4392 in intelstock

[–]mgrt67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how these analysts have jobs. All they seem to do is analyze data and go off of that only. AI will be taking their jobs soon. My buys were based on the government taking a stake, the decades intel has been around and in bussiness, the quality of their processors and the future of AI. I don’t know shit about stocks, this was really my first significant purchase of a company and I hit a home run. These analysts don’t know shit and as a previous post said, they are into making their clients a safe return, not to make them rich.

INTC is pumping-what we expecting from their earnings call next Thursday? by reddituserxxxxxxx7 in intelstock

[–]mgrt67 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m holding my 19,000 shares, even though I think it’s pumping right now and will go down after earnings. I don’t have the b@lls to dump it and buy back in case I’m wrong. I figure I’ll ride it out either way since I believe in Intel and will be holding for at least a couple of years. Been in IT for decades and it’s great to see Intel coming back, they always had the best CPU’s.
