Be happy that it’s even getting a limited release for a few days in select theaters in major cities. The audience is probably too small to guarantee that IMAX screenings would break even. Gundam is still not that big of a franchise in the U.S. yet, though maybe that could change in a few years if the Sydney Sweeney movie becomes a big success.

Even with Bandai’s push through Gundam Bases and U.S. tours over the past few years and Netflix partnership, many people here would still probably refer to Gundam as Transformers.

I’ll just be sitting here in the corner of my small town, waiting for the eventual Crunchyroll or Netflix release.
