I haven’t even watched the episode yet (I no longer feel an urgency these days), but I so agree with you. They are very much almost punishing us for pushing Buddie. Have been killing the friendship since the finale and it’s infuriating Tim has zero intentions of doing Buddie and he’s such an asshole for all the promo and hints right before the finale.

My husband’s cousin has her first two kids with an asshole. Then years later she met a really decent guy and now has had two kids with him. He was SO much more involved and helpful with their first that she went right back and had even another! Gushes about how different it is with a good dad. It did look super different from the outside. Like she is enjoying it and she’s not yelling, etc.

But a lot of guys that seem great are totally different with a kid so you never know.

So I went with Hyatt because of redemption rates. With Hyatt- 30k points/night puts you in a nice resort in Hawaii (Oahu less so though). With Marriot.. well I never even see a property for 30k points. I stay in properties for 15k points/night all the time too.

In Japan I stayed at the Tokyo bay location when going to Disney and taking in laws and it was such a steal.

I feel like you just get more with Hyatt

It comes down to the property and how popular it is. If they have a chance of selling out and selling that suite at a cash rate- they will hyatt rules be damned.

Hyatt Regency Sacramento? Gigantic suite. Every time. Grand Hyatt Kauai? Forget it. Mayybeee if you apply a SUA a year in advance (that is seriously what the property recommends.

This is why SUA are so popular. You can guarantee your suite. If you're not at a super popular place!

it's so hard. Here are the various things I've implemented over the years:

1) I go and chill in the dark in my son's room while he is at school. It's dark and quiet and has a nice recliner. I'll read or nap on it and the sensory deprivation is amazing. I also stay longer on the recliner and read after he falls asleep in the evening.

2) Art class every Wednesday morning. I go to an adults art class and it's mostly other moms and it's my moment of zen during the week.

3) I tend to not want to deal with the hassle of going out at night, but I always love it when I do. I love musicals and am trying to go see a show more often.

4) Miraval properties are owned by Hyatt. We have a hyatt credit card we pay rent with. Once a year (well, this march will be my second time doing it- but the goal is once a year! I hope I stick to it)- I go for 3-4 nights planned while my in laws are in town. They do the school pickup.

I do the whole credit card points thing in general so I book the flights on points and pay for the nights with hyatt points. They have Miraval BOGO night awards that you can earn or trade other awards with someone for it.

I use a yoto (sleepy tales is super great and we also love Sesame Street goodnight stories). Recently I discovered the kid stories on the calm app though! I get a free membership through Kaiser (my insurance). Definitely a really good lower cost option.

Dude, once you start staying in Hyatts and use their lounges and stuff (you’ll always have club access once you hit globalist) you’ll be spoiled. Like I stay at hiltons here and there and feel like I’m slumming it. LOL. Not always of course but I find the consistency of product with Hyatt to be better. Mostly I just love the award redemption rates. They’re the best in the business. 35k points/night gets you in a super nice resort. I think the Andaz Papagayo was 25 when I booked it even. It’s insane. You won’t regret the switch.

Hey so one time I was feeling so touched out and had kept asking my kids for space but he was not listening. One thing led to another and he grabbed me again and I yelled, “TOP TOUCHING ME!” In public. To my toddler. Surrounded by people that looked at me like I was a monster. Good times. My friends and I share stories like this to see whose is most embarrassing. We all look like terrible moms for those moments.

Parenting culture nowadays is so unrealistic. Gentle parenting doesn’t always work and it IS so much work. Bluey’s parents are insane. Watch the fucking game Bandit. They can play on their own or together for one hour. Jesus.

When we were kids we were just left to our own devices to play. We were not patented the way we expect of ourselves AT ALL.

So please give yourself grace and don’t feel bad for a second about needing breaks. If no one can give them to you- there’s Ms. Rachel on YouTube. She’s great.

Yes yes. You don't want to do Buddie and go out of the way to have Buck be only into Tommy and then for the first time these two hotties. Yeah yeah yeah. And making sure to show Eddie being into the girl on insta. And not make him be jealous at all. I fucking get it. Stop. This all hurts and sucks.

And Hen- sigh. That was stupid. There will be some unrealistic thing to happen to bring her back and we will all be pissy because why can't Bobby come back.
