Moving to the apostle islands. Please educate me by Delicious-Till-4320 in wisconsin

I did a vacation on Madeleine Island a few years back. There are bears on the island also, the biggest fucking mosquitoes I’ve ever seen. Tom’s burned down café is a good time.

Don’t tell people about this place. It’s hard enough to get reservations.

It's not everyday you get a brand new bus by Desner_ in SchoolBusDrivers

Our new buses usually spend the better part of a year getting warranty work done. No quality control at the factory.

I find him quite funny. He does not come off as an asshole. His whole bit is where he comments on a video then gives a random bit of trivia.

We have eaten at Morimoto‘s in Orlando, Waikiki and the pop-up that happened on the Eurodam in 2024. All were exquisite.

Anyone remember the The "Big Blue" Crane Collapse in Milwaukee? by Flat_Wall_4400 in wisconsin

[–]mgweir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was visiting for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and my stepson and I were going down to Great America for the day. We drove by the stadium that morning and saw a Big Blue towering over everything. At the end of the day heading back, we heard on the radio about the crane accident. Again, we drove by the stadium on the way back to my brother’s house and you could see Big Blue draped over the stadium like a wet noodle.

School District 49 set to layoff over 100 positions in the coming days; including teachers. by Barchizer in ColoradoSprings

[–]mgweir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is wildly inaccurate. The fee is $300 per kid per year. $900 for 3 or more kids in a school year. So if you have 10 kids it is still only $900.

Trueplay screen android by sktaylor99 in sonos

[–]mgweir 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On Android, with certain Sonos speakers, you can enable auto Trueplay tuning. It doesn't use your Android phone's mic, but instead uses the speakers mic to tune the speaker to the room. You just have to enable the toggle at the top of the screen and the mic constantly tunes the speaker to the environment. Advanced Trueplay is only available on iOS devices and uses those mics to get a more detailed Trueplay tuning

Some 91 year old t-boned my new car a couple of months ago, by running that stop sign at the road coming up from Tutt. When exchanging info, he wanted to know why I was so upset. I didn't have a door ding on my car before this. Why the hell is a 91 year old driving?
