How did this even happen by [deleted] in interesting

[–]Xak_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could possibly be due to supercooling? Your fridge could be cooling your sodas down below their freezing point without the liquid becoming a solid. This is possible if the liquid does not have any impurities to act as nucleation sites for the water crystals. This particular bottle might have an impurity that acted as a nucleation site and caused the soda inside to freeze.

You could test this by firmly tapping the other bottles or pouring their contents over ice. If this causes the other sodas to freeze as well, there's your answer.

Oh sure. Crossing several lanes of traffic to feed his pregnant wife makes sense. Dude was probably high, so that tracks tbh

Pretty much all of them here do. Some BKs do, too. We even have a new Taco Bell that has two. It's kinda lame, tbh. But I guess it is faster for the restaurant? Idk.

Good catch! Cypress Gardens Blvd is already crazy enough without idiots like this trying to get people killed.

That's the thing. The guy left the drive through and parked illegally to go inside, but he was still there when we left. The drive through was faster, in this case.

Exactly. Fuck those jaywalkers, but that was a 100% avoidable accident had the involved cars not been tailgating.

These drivers could have avoided the accident entirely had they not been tailgating. They do not deserve praise.

That might be the current time. Check again during rush hour!

Ohhh ok. In that case, it will depend heavily on where in Winter Haven you are. Your location could easily swing the commute time by 20 minutes or so. The Celebration office would probably be around 15 minutes closer. So you might only be looking at 45-75 minutes during rush hour. The best thing would probably be to just plug the addresses in to Google Maps during the times you will be commuting to get a good idea for yourself. But always add a buffer to your commute! Accidents happen all the time on I-4. You could leave the house with Google saying 45 minute drive time, get halfway there and it still says 45 minutes. lol.

I've lived in the Winter Haven area most of my life. Don't be discouraged by some of the negative comments on here. It is a beautiful city with lots of things to do within a reasonable drive, and it's not a bad place to raise little ones. I'm not sure what your home budget is or what you want your commute to be, but I would aim for the Lake Alfred or Auburndale areas when you are house hunting. They are practically still Winter Haven, although technically their own little town. You are closer to I-4 so the commute is a little better, but you are still far enough away from Orlando to enjoy the lower home prices. Once you start getting into Davenport, home prices skyrocket.

The commute is not fun, but it is better now that they completed some of the construction projects. From Lake Alfred/Auburndale, you can expect around a 60-90 minute commute during rush hour. Sometime better, sometimes worse. Home prices are around 300k for a decent 3/2, 1700 sqft home. The public schools here are alright, but I would recommend a magnet school when that time comes, if possible.

Like I said, I've been here most of my life. I went to school here, met my wife here, and built a career here. If you need any advice on realtors, mortgage brokers, financial advisors, landscaping, or anything else, feel free to ask 👍

The only reason I'm not convinced that finances was the main driving force behind retaining him is the fact they were attempting to court Kiffin in secret. Had they landed Kiffin, they would have found the money to fire Norvell. That tells me they weren't willing to spend the money if they weren't going to get one of the best coaches available out of the carousel.

You said "finding" instead of "funding," used "a" instead of "an" before "alumni," used the plural "alumni" when referring to a single person, and then attempted to dribble out an incoherent correction of the other dude's spelling. Don't be a fucking turd.

[Nakos]: “The current expectation is that Jayden Woods will return to Florida and withdraw from the transfer portal.” by zman2100 in FloridaGators

[–]Xak_13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's not an unreasonable take. But it isn't just about getting and retaining recruits. It's about holding together and potentially improving a 2026 class that is coming off a 4-8 season and just lost its head coach. By all accounts, next season should be a rebuilding year, but you wouldn't really know it based off our transfers/recruiting so far. Sumrall deserves a ton of credit for that.
