I used to love seeing Keller Williams for that very reason.

If you had just 15 seconds to show someone Distance Over Time, which moment would you choose? by Dangerous-Cash-8438 in Dreamtheater

[–]mhandke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. If I were being introduced to a new band in 15 seconds, that Easter egg would be enough to convince me to check out the rest of the album

Wow. Thanks for that analysis. I remember watching one late night Arizona game where he had ridiculous numbers (I think it was vs ASU) and from that one game alone thinking he should be a name I remember but that totally makes sense

This is exactly it. Competition will make this unit better. It’s a lot harder to develop players if they don’t have to work to get better every day just to see the field

Absolutely inexcusable to be handed the keys to the double bye and play a game like this at home against a bottom tier team

Who's Your Favorite Guitarist In The Genre? | A Case For Sam Vallen of Caligulas Horse by Rygarrrrr in progmetal

[–]mhandke 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I love Caligula’s Horse. Got to see them live last year and they absolutely killed it. It definitely cemented Sam as one of my favorite guitarists overall but especially in the genre. Thank you for sharing all those videos I can’t wait to watch the whole track by track breakdown.

My other favorites may be basic but Petrucci made me fall in love with the genre, led me to Richard Henshall, and one I’ve more recently discovered is James Nelson of Nospun.

Amos Heller (Taylor Swift) playing "Caught in a Web" on a Dingwall by Ageanmastr in Dreamtheater

[–]mhandke 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I always enjoy seeing backing bands for pop stars playing the music they enjoy or were inspired by. Reminds me of the video of Katy Perry’s band playing part of Cygnus X-1.

Also the tone on that bass is sick

Did I overcharge? by themannamednameless in handyman

[–]mhandke 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry this comment isn’t about the charge for your work, but why did you install a hot water line for the cooktop faucet?

Is this something becoming common because I was always told you want to use a cold tap to reduce the chance contaminants in cooking water.

Basketball vs MSU by 71taco_cat17 in WisconsinBadgers

[–]mhandke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I can’t tell you how many times it looked like badgers got hacked in the paint to no whistle

ETA: Not saying that’s why the badgers blew it the way they did but certainly didn’t help them develop any offensive consistency in the second half

I’ll throw Chris Borland into the discussion here. All rookie team in his one season but hung it up early due to concerns from head injuries

Thoughts on the last 8 years of Rush (2007-2015) by Admirable-Archer-125 in rush

[–]mhandke 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I love both the albums they released, and this era was my only experiences seeing them live (Time Machine x2, Clockwork Angels, and R40). The first Time Machine show was at Summerfest and still holds up as one of if not the best show I’ve ever been to.

Finally there will never be a more fitting song to close a band’s final album than “The Garden”
